Son seems to have lost confidence.Reluctance to take shots he would have scored last season.
Maddison is doing well against lesser opposition...not so good against Arsenal.
Kulushvski provides a lot of energy going forward...you don't see many back passes from him!
Vicario...what has happened to him...definite yellow card for that handball!
I agree that Aussieglue has not yet lost the dressing room,but....no game is certain with his high line tactic....needs to think about strategy.
The perfect result really, Maddison is on fire (and has been all season tbf) Solanke gets his first goal and Brennan Johnson silences the haters, shhhhhhhushhh!
Ange’s interviews are still really weird (claiming we’ve been playing well all season ) but that aside happy days.
I was also at the game, and pretty well agree with everything you said Strike.
Vicario really worries me. Yes he pulled off one great save, but his overall performance was poor. Son, despite two assists was also very poor. Maddison was very good. BJ scored another nice goal. Beating Brentford at home though should be a given. I said 3-0 before the match, and would have been spot on, but for the fantastic early Brentford strike.
Much harder tests to come, and Ange needs to sort out the woeful Prem away form. Man U and Brighton next to up, both away. How many points? I suspect could be another couple of losses going on the away form. But we shall see.

we absolutely battered a decent Brentford team yesterday that almost got a point against city a week ago
people are really underrating this performance, i think it's the biggest xG margin we've ever had in a single game under Ange
Good game, good win, On to the next.
Ange in. Three more windows.
Home game vs Bretford so not surprising we played a very attacking game which left us open at times. Brentford are difficult in your face opposition who like to unsettle you and play direct like they also ⁶did vs City.
That's the key thing for me. We created so many turnovers, pressed really effectively, had so many chances because we committed players to this, leaving us open.
That defines Angeball in many way. If we became less open, less high line, players sitting back bit more, then can we execute the game we played today? Probably not
Put very simply, Ange ball is 'we will score more than you' tactics. So defending is always going to be a bit chaotic as it was at times yesterday if teams have a proper go at us, which they did.

Why 3?
This season and next season.
Can't keep sacking managers every season. Don't you get bored of it?

Considering we had an XG of 0 during the week, something had to give🤣
Great three points.
Good performance.
Did he change much? I think I saw Porro a bit wider but Udogie still inverted? Was it the same in the first half?
If Solanke can find his feet and bring others into play, we should be better than last season playing without a natural 9.
But we know it’s all good against the lower teams and it’s against stronger opposition we can’t pull it off. That’s where maybe Ange has some tricks up his sleeve this season - like what he did vs City at the end of last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's less what we did and more what the opposition did
this is why even Newcastle and Arsenal sat so deep and conceded possession against us - Brentford tried to keep the ball and play and we tore them to shreds.
People have started panicking that we're a bad attacking team after the last few weeks but the truth is we're such a good attacking team that it forces teams to play so defensively against us that even we struggle to create chances

Go to a game Ted. When was your last visit to WHL, 1953. You do know trolley buses don't park outside the ground now, waiting to ferry the supporters away after the game

Brentford played right into our hands yesterday, it was surreal watching both sides playing out from the back and getting caught in the press.
Yesterday put me off Frank - he has gone to Spurs and got them diiicking about with Scott little passes at the back and it cost them the first 2 goals.
So many managers now wedded to a style and philosophy even when it’s unsuitable - in fact we were more pragmatic at times than Brentford were with a few nice long whacks up to Big Dom

Nobody wants to keep sacking managers.
I’m just not sure this is the one to stick by. But time will tell.

Every manager gets time, and if results aren’t satisfactory, they get sacked.
It’s not rocket science.

It is for you. Ange has had one and abit seasons. Three windows so far. Three more to go for me.
Fans need to be patient. Spitting dummies out saying you want a toy every year is child's play.
If it wasn't for the lack of a clean sheet it would be an almost ideal result. We created loads of chances, Solanke got on the scoresheet, BJ continued his goalscoring, Madders had a great game, Son contributed. We ticked boxes that we needed to.
They did have good chances of their own and Vic despite dodgy moments, made some good saves. Other than that a very positive outcome.
