The figures on Raya must be distorted anyway.
He wasn’t taking 46 seconds to take a GK when Arsenal were losing
A great show of spirit away from against a super team with 115-130 charges against their name.

I wasn't surprised by Arteta's reaction. 2 of our first choice midfielders were missing, and it nearly got us victory. In the end, city rescued the game from a set piece, which are apparently illegal now arsenal are good at them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Arteta is inclined to lose it a bit in a crisis. For me he errs a bit on the timid side.
The solution is simple, the ref doesn’t manage the clock. You play 75 minutes of football with the ball in play.

ok.
We are never moving away from 90 minutes and we shouldnt have to.
I think a separate time keeper would be great.
Allow say 20 seconds for a GK, and anything more than that gets added on. 45 seconds to restart after a goal. 20 secs for a sub. etc. Any time a player is down injured, time is given back, in full.
What i have always scratched my head about is subs. Its always one at a time and if its multiple changes it takes ages. If its 3 subs coming on, why not have them all 3 go off and all 3 go on in one hit, not one at a time.
And what happened to going off at the nearest edge of the pitch. Never enforced any more.

Apparently they're trialing making the rule 8 seconds, but being stricter on it by giving corners against the offending team. On Monday night club they said its being trialled in the reserves league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just another loose rule that’ll see players push the boundaries to the point refs don’t bother.
Seems easier to just have a stop clock system to me.
Raya will be off to Barca, I wonder if Arteta will join him?

I’d rather be top of League 2 playing attractive football than 4th in the Prem playing SatanBall
We were playing a good game until Michael Oliver, once again, gave a soft, game changing decision in city's favour. I wonder if he'll be joining you in league 2 aswell.
According to opta, city waste more time on average than any other team in the league from goal kicks.
More than big, bad arsenal.

Teams have to play differently when playing teams that are charged with cheating. The problem is the cheats. Not teams adapting their style to cope with cheats.

You're on fire today, mate!
Yeah, they tried to speed things up by having multiple number boards ready to hold up at multiple subs time but why can't the advertising hoardings be pre-programmed with all the numbers and he presses one button for the whole ground and players to be notified instantly and the 4th official can concentrate on checking studs.

Now i like the ad board idea..
If a player was playing awfully, you could also programme it to read "Werner, get the f*ck off the pitch you donkey" when you make the sub.
surely they should give keepers or teams even doesnt have to be the gk to take a gk say 20 seconds to take the gk. timed from the moment the gk is signalled by the ref. if its not taken in 20 seconds a corner is given. that'd speed things up. same with throws and free kicks. if theyre not taken within 10 seconds of the whistle been blown to restart play. give the throw or fk to the oppo.
Long throws are the worst. Takes a minute for the ball to be thrown into the box. At least they’ve got rid of wiping the ball down with a towel before launching it into the box.
Football is a bit weird atm
It was an exciting game (Arsenal vs City) and a win for us would've been a huge result given the circumstances but we were filth. The all out 10 men behind the ball defending is obviously fine but the dirty tactics aren't good to see and I'd rather the rules changed/enforced to punish it.
Automatic time off the field for "injured" players, yellows for goal keepers for time wasting (yellows for players getting in the way goal keepers taking kicks), even if it means maybe having shorter halves, just start punishing all the faking and time wasting.
If you were to step back and watch a game like that as someone not used to modern football you'd think it was complete joke the amount of nonsense going on.
