5 stars from me for the title alone.
I really like Piroe. Just wish Farke could figure out
how to use him to full effect. Russell Martin did.
Piroe and Mateo are a solid duo. No complaints.
And they're keeping Bamford on the bench.
Had to wait for his 44th and last goal before he scored one from a set piece? (Excluding penalties which he takes for us if he’s on the field)
Last season I was disappointed in Piroe. He didn’t look anything like the player he was when at Swansea. Maybe Farke didn’t use him in his best position? Surely, a guy who got over 20 goals in consecutive seasons for Swansea must have the ability to score goals, which Leeds’ players always seem to struggle with.
This season he has had hardly any minutes of match time but has already scored 2 goals for us. Surely he must be given the chance to start as our No 9 and see if he can do for us what he did for Swansea?

But the underlying message is in Maidin's post - surely he must be given the chance to start as our number nine?

It's often cited that Farke hasn't been able to been to find a system that suits Piroe and that's why he's not able to repeat his Swansea form for us but Joseph isn't scoring either.
Do you think the problem isn't Piroe or Joseph or Bamford even, but the system.

And presumably having benched Joseph in favour of Piroe in search for that Swansea Piroe that will not materialise due to the system being what it is where do we go then? Back to Joseph or Bamford maybe.
What was Swansea record with piroe?
Did they get promoted?
I think Farke uses him the only way he can.
Maybe a little more time but still just a sub.

Doing really well as an impact sub, was it David Fairclough who was used in such a role for Liverpool in the 1980's.
Does he need more minutes when the minutes he is getting are currently so impactful?

I do, Dennis, but the thought of all that goalscoring potential limited to 10 minutes a game seems really wasteful.Perhaps a solution is to play Joseph for the first hour and Piroe for the last half an hour. Joseph could run the defenders ragged and then Piroe could pick them off in his clinical fashion? This worked for us in the pre-season against Schalke. It could be a way of keeping both players match-fit throughout the whole campaign, while getting a lot more value out of Piroe, at a time in the game when he can do a lot of damage.
Struijk is our only credible threat from set pieces. Copper was kinda threatening too, in both boxes.
I think the problem is Farke, he doesn't know how set the team up to best utilise either Piroe or Joseph's abilities.
I don't if anyone else watches LockyLeeds tactical breakdown on you-tube but there were at least two passes this week which were screaming out for Bamford to be on the pitch to receive passes from Ampadu, because of his intelligence and experience, I'm not saying Bamford would have scored from opportunities made for him, but they were opportunities that had Bamford been on the pitch you could see his movement being towards goal whereas Joseph's was away from goal (difficult to explain).
So my thoughts here is that there is an obvious disconnect whoever we play up front and that has to be down to the coach.
We play with a number nine.
Piroe isnt a number nine.
Its that simple.
Joseph is growing into the role

What Batty doesnt understand is, modern day football, you need a better all round game to do well.
