Piroe’s had loads of time.
We know exactly what we are getting with him and what he is and isn’t capable of.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure. But players should be developing all the time … maybe Piroe deserves another chance as a starter?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No chance. It’s quite clear that playing Joseph is the better option and we are more likely to win games with Joseph starting than Piroe. And yesterday was just another clear example of this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok. So, where do you believe the goals are going to come from? (btw, genuinely interested in your view - not being sarky😁)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Piroe.
Ganes are won in a minute with a single chance, however they are played over 90.
Piroe coming on at the back end of a game when defenses are tired and more exposed works.
He is the best finisher, he isn't the best runner, maker of space etc.
Use the other players to get him into a game.
Whether or not that can work in the long term I don't know
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep. Tending to agree with that👍
Although let's also take a minute to appreciate Gnontos finish yesterday as it was sublime.

Not many players can do what he did.
Technically brilliant. Great goal.
Goals will come all across the front 4. Joseph will score plenty too.
Been a massive over reaction to him missing a few chances. It happens.
No one seems to worry about Piroe losing the ball 50% of the times he touches it. We will score a lot less goals without the ball than with a striker that misses a few chances. We will also concede more too while we are at it.
Whatever you make of Piroe, the fact is he keeps popping up in the right place at the right time and keeps delivering.
When fit last season, our best finisher was Patrick Bamford with 0.5 goals per 90 minutes in all competitions, in addition last season of all players including Joseph, Piroe, Summerville and Rutter he had the highest % of shots of any Leeds player on target.
Maybe the answer isn't Joseph or Piroe but to get Bamford back fully fit because as well as the fact that we won most of our games last season when he was fit (between January and March) we are clearly a better side when he plays.
Just putting a case for Bamford, personally I think Joseph will continue to start with Piroe coming on for his cameo roles as he does now. Bamford will almost coach Joseph.
Should Joseph get injured I think then Bamford, if he is fit, will start.

People need to be honest, there is nothing wrong with Pat Bamford as a striker, had he stayed we probably would have been promoted, equally if other members of the squad had figures approaching .5 goals per 90 minutes or had shooting accuracy close to his we probably would have gone up. We may not be a better side this year with him in it, I don't see the club giving up on him the way some supporters have. We were certainly better last season when he was fit than when Piroe played up front for us.
