i'll reserve judgement until we beat a good team
He was at a point where the form needed turning around and he's done that, albeit with some helping of luck. I never wanted him out but I knew it was a bit of a make or break period for him. Thankfully he's doing well in this set of fixtures but it's premature to say things are all hunky dory again.

oh absolutely agree that its premature, makes it even crazier that people wanted him out after 4 matches!
not sure about the luck though, if anything we have been unlucky with the results compared to the performances we have put in.
Apart from the coventry game I felt we deserved to win all others and maybe a draw against arsenal.
This morning there was a Spurs fan lording it over United fans for their impatience with ten Hag. It did make me chuckle.

Well we got away with it in the Coventry game. Had we lost that, things may have looked quite different. Certainly many fans would have lost patience after that.
See how we do against Brighton away. This could be perceived to be tougher than playing United. With our momentum and some of our players being on fire, we should expect a good performance and who knows maybe 3 points. We win there and I'd be safe in saying this latest run of renewed form isn't some papering over the cracks.
People were definitely too quick to judge regarding some decent performances with poor end product.
However the Coventry game was properly bleak that was the only point I really started doubting Ange.
I didn’t want Ange gone after 4 games but I definitely wasn’t happy with what I was seeing on the pitch and his inability to change our style of play to be either more compact and hard to beat at the back, or adventurous and dangerous going forwards (obvs top teams have both). It’s great that we’ve won the last 4 games but let’s not get too excited about a last minute victory (and awful performance) against Coventry and beating Qarabag. For me it’s about progressing and learning as a team, and the results will come. The first half at OT was the best we’d played in a long time, second half too but against 10 men. Keep playing like that and I’ll be singing Ange’s name again
Not too many want him out..
It probably depends what you want... If you want to be entertained for 50 games a season, with every game seemingly possible to go either way at any point, playing on a knife edge then this is all good.
If you want to win something then maybe Ange isn't the man. He has already shown he won't do what's necessary during the course of a game to increase chances of a better result. Chelsea a prime example, Qarabag we were very lucky. Could have had 5.
I'm trying to take a more holistic view on things, I find us very entertaining and am not sure what'll happen from one game to the next. Under Conte, Jose, etc maybe they would have done what's necessary to win at any cost, sacrificing the entertainment aspect.
Is winning the only enjoyment for you ?
Is a trophy the only real achievement ?
Interesting argument really.

I wasn't happy with him after taking just one point from Leicester, Newcastle and Arsenal. But he seems to have turned it around, so fair play to him.
Not sure you can say he has had any luck in the turnaround. Spurs have just played some great football. Ok Coventry was a late comeback, but he put out a reserve side, so was never going to be easy.

We were awful against Coventry and it was heading only one way. He as a manager must have feared the worst but he managed to escape what would have been an embarrassing cup defeat at a time when we couldn't afford one. Would have been on him for picking a weaker team as well.
It seems like that win has somewhat catapulted us. And now with these 2 wins against Brentford and United, it's the best we have looked since those first 10 games. We have to hope for no injuries to key players now to disrupt us, like before.

Never wanted him gone, Just wanted him and the team to show a bit more flexibility in their approach.
The reckless high line, set piece defending and putting ourselves in a position where we need to score 3 to win a game away from home and the overall form since Nov of last year are all issues that need to be addressed.
Spurs have played well of late and Ange and the team deserve credit for that. With that said.... Coventry, Brentford, Qarabag and United are not very good so lets see how we do away at Brighton before we get too carried away.
A sloppy loss on Sunday will put the results in the past 10 days into context

Some on here are called bedwetters because that is exactly how they act...pisssing themselves while their knees are jerking at the same time. It must be an awful mess.
I hope fans on here start to be less reactive to individual moments and games and start to see the bigger picture. You just have to read through a match thread where we hammered Utd 3-0 at their place to see the sort of OTT reactionary moaning that takes place. Same with the Brentford game. 3-0 win with 10 men and youd think we'd lost judging by the reaction of some.
There is a tendency for some to always caveat a win. "We won but.....if they had taken chances/we were lucky" etc, and then ignore details in defeat.
How we played in teh first 4 games of the season compared to the end of last season was very different. Some moments cost us, some errors, some decision making but the big picture was that we were doing a lot right. Yet many are happy to lump last season (when we were really quite bad) in with this season and reach the conclusion that nothing has changed, based on results.
What has happened since is that some of the few things that were not quite working have clicked. Defensively and offensively. Solanke is back in the team and his role is vital, and we suddenly become far more balanced. Those 3 goals will do him and us so much good. No stress about not scoring, just confidence, happy smiling faces.
Many did not give any time to see if the improvements we had made could take the next step for us to get back to winning ways and within 7 days things are turned around and many look very stupid. The reaction to Solanke and BJ by some fans says it all.
I am not saying that we're back and all is now amazing. A long tough season still lies ahead. But reactionary negative response to things, that starts to feed into a narrative of make or break for Ange, has been quite embarrassing to witness from some of our fans.
I have said several times on here that there are some that i would not want to be in the trenches with, would not want them watching my back because in times of adversity they start to turn on there own. For me, being a fan should be the very opposite of that.
