I like Theo as a pundit.
Not sure why people get so wound up over players being compared to legends. Personally I think as brilliant as Palmer is, he probably doesnt quite have the ceiling of DB, but its hardly outrageous to compare them
agree Chris, Theo sounded good when I saw him.
In terms of ceiling, hard to know at this early stage but in terms of numbers (again not what both players are solely about) than palmer last season had a better season than any of bergkamps in the PL.
Bergkamp got 27 goals and assists his best return, palmer 33.
That was bergkamps best ever season in terms of attacking output (97/98) so depends what you mean by ceiling.
Palmer is also more important almost certainly to his team and lifts the players around him (as bergkamp did)
Early doors yet regardless.
Also final point, palmer scored in an international cup final at the end of that season. Just to debate the ceiling part.
