Does anyone still rate Romero?

Agreed, but called him out a few games in and was told by more than one person that he is out best player.

Despite his Euro rick, I'd play Drag and VDV for a bit.

I’ve alway felt he’s a top defender but Italy or spain suits his game and he would look solid because mostly they all play the same way with the same fundamentals. In the prem and with Anges tactics he is constantly on the turn and chasing which does not suit him one bit.

He's one of the best attacking defenders in the world.

As a defensive defender, he's incredibly average.

I know we’re all stunned and at a loss for words, but it’s not clear how you could point to Romero for that loss. However, the manager deserves the majority of the blame. After conceding early in the second half, we should have made substitutions or adjusted our tactics to slow the game down and reset. Continuing with the same approach as if nothing had changed was a serious mistake and criminal

Maybe be because he stood like a traffic cone when Welbeck headed the winner. Admittedly the ball should never got into the box, but when it did, Romero should have been all over it. Happened to many times this season, where Romero just stands there watching a forward get a free header.

Udogie and Micky were more to blame today for the goals.

The players let the fans and Ange down in that second half.

I thought the third was Bents’ fault. If he slides in there he stops the cross.

Our main issue is the imbalance in the squad, particularly with ineffective wingers. Imagine this team with Mitoma on the left—it would make such a difference. While I’m impressed with BS’s goal-scoring form, we know it’s not sustainable. Once that dries up, what else does he really contribute as a winger?

Nah the attack is certainly not the problem. The defenders most definitely are. Brighton had about four attacks 2nd half, and scored from three of them. That cannot be right.

Spurs need defenders that can defend when called on. At the moment only Micky comes anywhere near a good defender, and even he had a bit of and off day today.

Spurs should not need to be scoring three or four goals every match just to get a draw. 2-0 up today should have just been defended properly.

We’ve also flogged the only player you’d think could help us switch to a more conservative approach in Hojbjerg. He probably didn’t turn to the bench because our entire squad now is made up of players that can only play one way.

We’re never going to get anywhere unless we address the issue at hand. Ange seems to refuse to believe that defensively we’re easy to play through which is mad. The whole world is saying one thing and he’s saying another. Generally speaking, if you have an opinion that isn’t shared by anyone else, you’re probably wrong.

Being headstrong is only good when things are working. When they’re not, it just makes you look like an ignorant pricccck to be fair.

He's a World Cup-winner and 2-time Copa America-winner.

He's been at the heart of an Argentina team that's barely lost a game for 5 years and won 3-straight major titles.

He's literally your best player imo.

Fridge the defending was shocking today. Brighton didn't really have to be any good. All they had to do was capitalize on Spurs awful defending.

Spurs should have won that game at a canter, if they actually had defenders that can defend. As soon as Udogie made the mistake for the first goal, the writing was on the wall. The defence just collapses at any sign of a bit of pressure.

He plays like an Hackney Marshes player when he puts on a Spurs shirt.

I watched the first half and Welbeck could easily scored 2.

Romero made Welbeck look like a prime Gerd Muller today.

Hopefully Spurs will be able to rinse Real or even Man U, and we can get rid of him.

Is he fack. He is the most overrated defender iv ever seen at the club (and that's saying something).

But I don't blame him today. It's on Ange. The way Ange sets up breeds inconsistency. He plays one way only which is great when it works and appalling when it doesn't. There is no middle ground. No way to grind things out. That in itself will be inconsistent.

Levy wanted attractive football and decided on Ange to provide it, at all costs. Even results.

How much of it is down to our defenders being rubbish and how much is our manager not focusing on the defensive side of things? I imagine some of the leagues he's managed in you can get away with the "we'll score more than you" approach. You cannot in the PL.

posted 6 hours, 1 minute ago

Talking of Welbeck, Man Utd could do with all the ex players that can score like McTominay, Welbeck and Greenwood.😂 McTominay twice scored inside a minute of playing and both times seconds in.😂 I was desperate since start of last season for McTominay to be our striker. We sell him instead. Basically McTominay finished like Kane and we got rid of him lol.

Romero reminds me of Rojo. Seems always on the risk of a red card or clumsy moment.👍
