I think I last cared about international football in the 90s. England kicked it out of me, time after time after time.
I watched the latest Southgate led nonsense, but that was more in the "watching a car crash" sense than any enjoyment. A manager playing the same front four for an entire tournament despite it not working for a single game (and barely even for part of a single game) is sure something.
Still, it wasn't like he had options on the bench that could have made a difference, eh?
Now this is just a chance for players to pick up injuries playing yet another made up competition to generate UEFA/FIFA money. Hard pass.
I like the Nations League. Much better than friendlies with something to play for.
It could just be because I'm from a small country but I love watching us play whether we win, draw or lose. It's not often we're seen as our own country so this exposure is great.
If you are going to have international games scheduled for then, why not give it some sort of competitive edge? Of course it won't compare to the Euros or World Cup etc, but the players are having to play regardless of what it is called.
I don't think anyone truly believes that FIFA / UEFA etc really care about player welfare. And it hasn't reached their braincells yet that sometimes less is more.

The Nations League was a good idea, and certainly not 'meaningless friendlies'. Every time there's an international break there's an article complaining about the international break!
If the likes of the PFA were really concerned about player welfare they'd be advising their players that they should play no more than X amount of games per season but on pro rata wages.
international friendly interruption.... again. A hindrance to the only footy most care about.

Theyre not friendlies
They should scrap the "meaningless friendlies" and carry on with the PL.
Of course United would be without Onana, Martinez, Mazwhatshisface, Ugarte, Garnacho, Amad and a few others but none of them are a miss.
You've got Uefa and Fifa just tryna milk everyone as hard as they can so they can each make more money. Diluting the quality of the bread and butter that is domestic football and not giving two sheits about it or player welfare.
Down to clubs/associations and players to put them in their place, until they do theyll keep taking the piiss.

Should be a good one that. The Scots could genuinely get something, they nearly did in the away game.
Yeah, I know Scot are still to pick up points, but I was at the Pol game and it was a good game. Should be an entertaining match
