Aye, I take your point.

It's never been so easy to qualify though.

No, performances have been good of late. Playing against teams with far better pools of talent. Certainly better than what we seen at the euros.

Shouldnt sack a manager that has got us to two finals when so many have failed to that once.

Hes been a victim of his own success. We were in what, the 3rd tier of nations league when he joined. He took us up to the top where we were inevtiably going to get our @r£es handed to us. The friendlies weve played have been by and large against quality opposition too.

We had 3 games at euros. Germany was a stinker but we drew the other against a good swiss team and the hungary game was same, flip of a coin in the last 10 mins for who was going to score.

As whodunnit says they are still playing pretty well so for me he gets the next qualifying campaign. He facks that up he'll be gone. He deserves the chance for what hes achieved.

Who do we get anyway if hes sacked? Moyes? Who will leave as soon as some relegation threatened epl team need a man to come in and save them.

Clarke is still the best man for the job.

Yes 100%

I don’t buy into this nonsense we wouldn't have qualified if it wasn't for Clarke. Utter bollox

I'm not saying we'd go and compete to win the tournaments but when you compare us to the other countries battling for qualification you could probably name a couple of top players they have or had. The rest are average.

We had McTominay, McGregor, McGinn, Robertson, Tierney and an upcoming Gilmour all playing at the top of the game. Yeah it was Clarke that got us there - sure

The other countries have average players around their strong players too so I'm not buying this nonsense of us having weaker squad players.

We went to 2 x Euros and parked the bus for 3 games each. Ffs play to our strengths arrack from the midfield.

We had a chance at qualifying for our first World Cup since 1998. Home game. Final qualifier. War ravaged Ukraine.

We did not attack them. We sat back and let them steam roll over us. Never been so angry coming out a match before.

That game and they euros was down to Clarke for the abject performances. Another manager may have ended up losing them too but at least we'd have tried to win.

He's the problem not the saviour

Did we qualify for the Euros? Or did the Euros qualify us?

We had better/similar campaigns under Smith/McLeish but fewer teams qualified, the tournament just expanded to let teams of our level in.

We are the exact level of getting one of those 24 euros spot. Sometimes we will, sometimes we won't.

We were never really going to get a spot in the 16 team tournament.

Similar with World Cup. We are not there.

So nothing has changed really, just the additional Euros spaces, not us.

I dont remember Scotland teams playing the likes of Portugal and Croatia and the game being very even. We even played fairly attractive football. Those two teams should be forcing us to defend and I I think they were very even games. That Portugal team has some top top talent in it.

We beat a better Norway team than us to qualification, think we are also still the last team to beat Spain?!

We were superb in the qualifiers this year the format change doesnt take that away.

He does play to our strengths, Our strengths are LB and CM so he plays 5 in the CM and a system that allows our LB to be as invovled in play as possible.

Our CBs and CF's are utter gash for the level they are expected to play for.

Ralston is league 1 level in England, the rest are championship players are very best.
Gunn, Hanley, Hendry, Dykes, Shankland, Porteuos, Cooper, Souttar, Devlin. Are miles off the standard of player when it come to playing in the finals of competitions. Thats the two most important ends of the game IMO. Our midfield keeps us in games and makes us competitve but the sever lack in quality at either end means we dont capitalise on chances created and dont stop other teams creating against us.

Most of you goals come from midfield using his system, I think he defo plays to our strengths.

Norway have Odegaard and Haaland who are 2 world class players

Other than that they have Kristofer Ajer

That's it. I'm not buying this nonsense they are better than us.

Prob the best striker in the world
Nusa, Bobb, Berge, Strand Larsen, Scheldrup, Ostigard, Sorloth just off the top of my head. are very good players

Norway have 3 strikers that would walk straight into our team and improve us.

They have Haaland to our Dykes, and Ajer and Ostigard to our Souttar and Hanley. completely different levels ...... miles apart.

Our CBS and CF are utter gash

Many nations' wheelchair sides would have a striker that would walk into this Scotland team, to be fair.

exactly possibly the most important position in the team and we have guys that would struggle in the championship to choose from.

Our first choice CF is a league 1 player who cant score (zero goals this year). Shankland has reverted back to type and has 1 goal this season and is just a $hite Kris Boyd.
