He is saying that if Saliba was sent off Tosin should be sent off. Cos he thinks they are similar. The weird Arsenal fan that he is...

Slot does have his own agenda though. He's not exactly neutral on this.
I am and am referee (though not a great one) and imo the Arsenal one was red as White was far enough away for him to make an impact. That's my two pennies anyway!

Is he saying that all of that? Huge leap imo. I mean they are similar in their location, but the position of other players and the direction of the ball are not, we can simply see that with our eyes.
He will say the Chelsea player should walk though, because he manages Liverpool FC

Huge leap to say when Slot refers to it as "the decision of the red card" and then uses the word "similar" he is saying it should have been a red and is similar to Saliba?
posted 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Yes, that’s putting about a dozen words in his mouth and a huge leap. He said they were similar, they are a bit, but the rest of the spin on this thread is a bit silly if we’re honest.
That’s why it’s almost universally agreed that yesterday was not a red, and Saliba’s was. I mean how do you account for pretty much everyone saying that?

Don't know where the myth the ball was going wide comes from, it was a straight long ball that, without the foul, would have put Jota straight through on goal.
Also, the "covering defender" was behind Jota, so not only would he have to make up the distance (which would have been even greater without the foul) he would also have to get through or round Jota.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is pretty much accurate.

i always think there should be a certain distance away from goal where you only give a yellow there
loads more can happen to deny a 'clear goal scoring opportunity' from that far out, including the actions of the forward
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with this though. The thresholds for red cards and penalties needs to be higher imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both should have been yellows.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah. Also not buying that Slot would just say anything because he manages Liverpool. Liverpool had already won the game. There's no point in him saying it was a red card if he actually thinks it wasn't. Amazing to see the opinion of a football manager dismissed like that by internet experts.

The lies you written about the direction of the ball and the position of other defenders. Obviously. At no point does me mention about what should be red, what shouldn’t, the direction of the ball or the position of the other defenders. Not once.
I can’t deal with you when you’re on it like this so have a nice day.

You claimed only Arsenal fans thought it was similar, I pointed out your own manager literally called it similar and referred to the Tosin foul as the "decision of the red card".

Almost identical situations except for the fact that White is covering, but clearly they have consistently applied the (f)laws of the game here.

I've just heard Martin Keown say it was a red. That ends this argument.
