To be as good as VVD you need to get massive protection and favourably decisions handed to you by the refs. Saliba will never be afforded that

Peak - VVD. There is nothing he doesn’t have.

Longevity- really, really tough but I’m going for Terry.

Hmmm or Rio. I mean it could be about six players tbh.

Based on games to medals ratio the answer is Wes Brown

Jonny Evans making a late entry

There is only one correct answer here:

The players that played for the team that I support.

That should save 100 comments.

The hero United deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

So, we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not our hero: He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector.

Johnny Evans

Harry Maguire.

Peak VVD unreal, he had everything with top ability on the ball too spreading it around with ease like a peak Alonso. Obviously if you're looking at the individual its him, the only thing you could hold against him was maybe he was too casual/relaxed at times which can come across as lazy almost.

If you look at the bigger picture with team honours etc its hard to look past someone like Terry.

Salibas closest thing to VVD imo but hes not got the passing range/ability or the aerial threat. Still hes amazing for his age, VVD peaked quite late compared.

Terry or VVD for me. Probably go for the former for his longevity.

Terry did not play CL final but was a FKW on the night.

neither Terry nor VVD CL medals count as one didnt play the final and the other only had to beat spurs in the final

posted on 22/10/24

VVD only really won one PL with Liverpool and went missing in other battles for the title with City. John Terry always had something to say in the title racist
