Yep agree with that. And they’ll probably review ETH’s position towards the end of the season if things improve dramatically and he’s shown enough for them to stick with him.
I think given the way they look to be try to reshape the squad, they’re going to end up giving managers more time than people would probably like.
We’ll have to have a bit of patience with this squad building, because there’s so much work needed and if we’re recruiting players that we are hoping will grow at the club in time then it’s going to take a while.
My scepticism is whether this is a good transfer strategy for a club like United. But we’ll wait and see.

He can only really be successful at teams with Villa in their name.
Villa
Villarreal
Sevilla
For him to do a reasonable job, the team must at least have a "V" in it, as in Valencia.
A complete lack of "V" in the name, then he will fail.
I don't make the rules.

If we were to go after a spanish manager in the PL that is perceived to be overachieving then I'd much prefer Iraola from Bournemouth.

Iraola and Emery, as well as Arteta, Xabi Alonso, Lopetegui and Alguacil (R Sociedad) all hail from the small Basque province of Gipuzkoa.

Been saying it since last summer. He would kill it at United. We'd just have to change our name to ManVilla United since he loves teams with those letters.
