Exactly what I said in the post. Was under-appreciated at Leeds & 7 years later still proving a quality operator.

Never took the most notice of Wood over the years until probably his latter Burnley days but he’s obviously won me over. He may not be considered world class but some of his goals are worthy of such a player

We were horrible when we had wood.
It's the only way we could win, hoof it to wood and somehow keep a clean sheet.
Think he scored 25 goals one season.
But still wasn't a big fan😂

I said when we bought him 2 years back that he was a riven PL striker and could turn out to be a very shrewd signing - trust me there were plenty of Forest supporters bemoaning him and criticising the £15M we splashed out for him from Newcastle

But how wrong has he proved them all - the guy is on fire and looks hungry for more - he’s a top class professional and is 2nd behind Haaland so far this season for goals scored

£15M seems an absolute snip to me

I've always liked Chris, someone will have to check, but he's got a similar goals to game ratio in the EPL as Callum Wilson. He's no dud..

I can't remember exactly when it was(probably when we struggling were in the prem) but I recollect at various points when posters on here ridiculed suggestions that Chris Wood might be a good option for us again.

I get that as a fanbase we go over the top sometimes about going back in for former players but in his case there have been times when that would have been a smart option. He's showing what he is all about and a vastly underrated player. 5 stars.

I vaguely remember the stick he got but at the time we weren’t playing decent football.

I might be wrong but I think there was something!..

Going back to the original point of article, the criticism Chris Wood got was ridiculous at Leeds. Parts of our fan base make instant judgments on players and just cannot admit when they’re wrong
