Because it’s America and that’s just how it’s done. She’s up against a populist who has nothing below the orange surface sheen. When up against that you have to fight fire with fire and using celebrity endorsements inspires those undecided voters into the booth.
Once those people look into what Kamala is selling they’ll see progressive tax cuts whilst raising corporate tax. They’ll see she has a border plan that almost everyone on both sides agreed on but Trump and his ghouls curtailed it. They’ll see a plan to protect women’s rights and reinstate Roe vs Wade. I can name many more but Trump thinks mass deportations and tariffs are actually proper polices.

The president (and VP) only has as much power as the house and senate afford them. And the Supreme Court has been stacked with MAGA judges so it’s hard to get things done.
Once Trump is gone then you’ll likely see a lot less of his people voting against Dem policies and more things will be passed.

Biden has put quite a lot of things in place. Far more than Trump did in his only disaster of a term. Harris had the casting vote on 33 pieces of legislation passed under Biden.
