Best goal one is certainly a tough one.
I was there for the norwich flick from zola.
Drogba in munich for importance.
The ronaldinho toe poke.
Hazard v arsenal, west ham. So many good ones.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Norman Whitesides curler in the Cup Final against Everton. I had the perfect view from the moment it left his foot to the moment it curled round the defender and Southall into the side of the net.
Ray Wilkins Cup Final goal against Brighton was another cracker.

Messi
Cambiasso for Argentina WC 06 v Serbia, what a team goal, 30 or so passes, beautiful!
Fraser Forster against Barcelona 2-1 Celtic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't really say best player, more like best team. CL QF at home against Real Madrid 2003. Zidane, fat Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Figo. Fck me not seen anything like it before or since, live anyway.
Special mention to Giggs for us who was excellent that night, and ofc Becks when he came on.
Also seen Messi, just the once against Mexico in Leipzip in 2006 WC but doesn't really count. Came on as a sub iirc and didn't do very much. Probably should have Rodriguez goal up there as one of the best seen.

Best's goal v SheffiedU that you see on youtube a lot was outrageous.

Best goal: Bebe against Bursaspor. He is the only player to score in every CL match he played for us.

Best team, good shout.
Two best teams I have ever seen is the Liverpool team of 1988-1989 and the Holland team 1988.

Messi or R9 for me.
Messi at Wembley in CL final and R9 for his Hat trick in the 4-3 classic against Madrid at OT.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, Ronaldo was incredible that nght at OT. One of the best performances I have ever seen, too.
However I remember that game equally for the prolonged dogs abuse that Steven McManaman got when he was subbed off..... for been a complete scouse baztard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Outstanding that day. Incredible player still the best ever striker in my opinion. Messi silenced any doubters that CL night, gave us a total doing and the score was flattering to us.

Another player that comes to mind for me was Hoddle, didn’t matter who we played he always the best passer on the pitch, the most creative player and had the best first touch.
Bale and Modric went on to win multiple CL, but neither were as good as prime Hoddle. Gazza - now that was a close run thing, different type of player but just as magical.
We’ve had an absolute abundance of outrageous attacking players over the years but only a handful of decent defensive talent - seems to be our way

Best player I’ve seen: Messi, no one has been better in my lifetime.
Best goal: RVP volley vs Villa in 2013
Best performance: Ronaldo’s 1st ever hatrick back in 2008. 1st of many. We knew he was special but even then it wasn’t possible to predict the heights he would reach. Shame he chose to spend his best years elsewhere.

Messi at the Nou Camp, Jan 2020 in a Spanish cup game v Leganes.
He scored twice in a 5-0 drubbing.
Added bonus was the €19 ticket price on the gate.

Henry is the best player I've seen live, remember him (and the rest of the side) taking the mick out of Boro during a 7-0 win although there were plenty of other games where he dominated the opposition.
I'm sure I've seen loads of better goals than this but annoyingly remember this screamer from some Hull City muggins in this famour defeat!

Hec, a good shout on FF but suspect you mean the 2-1 win at CP and not the 2-1 reverse at the Camp Nou?
I've been fortunate to see Messi live quite a few times but he's never risen to his heights at these games even though he's scored. Ditto Ronaldinho. So lucky to have seen Jimmy Johnston, McGrain, Dalglish, Larsson, CR7, Cruyff and so many many more. All greats but hard to pick out one.
Best goal hard too because there's so many but one that sticks in the mind is Charlie Nic's Scotland debut to rescue a 2-2 draw against Switzerland. In typical Scottish fashion he'd been held back from the senior squad despite banging them in at club level for years such that the anticipation in the country was bursting and he never let us down with a teed up volley from the edge of the box. It was as much the excitement in the crowd at the release we thought we really had a new world star? Then Arsenal ruined him.

I remember watching Berbatov in his prime play for Spurs in 2007 just before Christmas time at Man City where he almost single handedly dismantled the whole City team laying on both goals for a Spurs 2 nil midweek league cup win. He was definitely that night unplayable!

Messi. Predictable but true.
Although a close second would be Ronaldinho, I saw him in his prime a couple of times due to football weekends in Barcelona. The speed of that guys feet, his acceleration and just total unpredictability made him so exciting to watch imo.
Goal that stands out for me isn't the best but at the time it meant a lot. I was at Stamford Bridge when Kenny scored the only goal in 1986 to secure the league, which a week later would become the double. Lovely goal, wonderful player.
