Pretty sensible really. Option of another year too. If it's going to plan then I could see that being renegotiated pretty early on perhaps even, at that stage, performance based caveats.

This likely means the severance package isn’t overly prohibitive. If he delivers on the pitch, he’ll be well-rewarded, a win-win for everyone. I can’t wait for him to stamp his authority on the club and squad, he has personality I like and press conferences are rarely dull. My excitement about the change is tinged with a bit of trepidation, which is expected given the number of managerial casualties in 11 years!

I think as a club we should just never hire Dutch coaches ever again. What have they ever done for the game?
