Hard to believe how bad Plymouth were today.
They really have gone downhill from being a decent footballing team last season

Yep, it’s truly amazing how he keeps getting manager jobs

Bit harsh really.

Were a miles and miles better squad

His win rate is 27% - why does this guy keep getting hired

Just watch him in interviews. How can he inspire anyone?

He somehow inspires chairmen to hire him though.

Some players you just look at and think they will never ever be a good manager - Gazza for instance, Andy Carroll, Harry Kane - they just don’t give off a management vibe, well Rooney is the poster boy of that

Harry Kane as a manager. That would be as funny as looney

A bit harsh, he's trying his best, plus they drew the 2nd half 0-0 so he must have said something good at half time to his lads. Some people are just biased against Rooney and it's not fair. In fact he's a very shy man. Still we were good. Annoying that Sheff.u won.

Rooney is becoming more articulate now. He's taking elocution lessons.

Completely agree. Came from a very working class background, the scouse accent doesnt help to come across as elegant, and wasnt very well educated.

Yet from age of 17, has been one of the most famous people in Britain, constanly pushed infront of the media, when obvious it was far from natural for him to talk infront of people.

Talks alot better now, really should be held up as what people can achieve in life, and should be an inspiration for the working class.

He’s filthy rich, yet is still willing to move away from his family, to try to make his way in mangement, could make alot more money talking garbage on super sunday everyweek.

I don't think Rooney was hired for his coaching ability.

He did a good job at derby and was only relegated because of a points deduction.

Plymouth are a poor side and are going to be at the lower end of things.

Guy is one of England's best ever players and will have loads of contacts in the game and players who want to work with him based on who he is.

I get the hate for him, particularly from our fan base based on who he played for, but he ain't as bad as people make out as a manager

You also forget the fact that he's high profile so that will attract money and sponsorship to a footballing backwater, even if he is a cr@p manager that will give him a competitive advantage in the job market over most other cr@p managers.

Yep, in terms of crap managers, he’s the best there is🀣

Ennyhooo … good morrow to you all, I’m off now to leave you newly-minted-Rooney-fanciers to your, er, fantasies … the rest of us can bask in the glory of a bloomin’ marvellous resultπŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ·.

People who would hire Rooney are the same as the people who thought Big Sam would save us.

posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago

Pretty sure Plymouth's forwards are happy to be coached by him.

posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago

After what he did to Birmingham last season I couldn't believe Plymouth taking him. They weren't a bad side last season but this clown is taking them down.

I also hope his career as a pundit fails to take off. Clown.
