Ipswich-Leicester, with about 15 minutes to go.

Ipswich player gets barged over in the box, ref waves play on, and a few passes later Phillips gets a second yellow.

Decision probably swayed by the Ipswich player going down like a ton of bricks. Contact was probably more than enough to knock him over, but he theatrically exaggerates the fall.

I watch lots of games and this one is the worst I’ve seen.

Is that clear enough?

He went down like a “ton of bricks” because he was hit like he was bulldozed! Nothing theatrical at all in that at all.

Don’t mind it not being given as a penalty but they need to clarify what is and isn’t. Definitely seen them given.

Dont think Phillips was a booking at all though and stupid that VAR can’t help the ref in that situation.

Without the red it looks like it would have been very unlikely Leicester got back into the game.

Well it isnt that clear. Its gone from being the most blatant youve seen to one of the most blantant. So what is it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Personally thought it was a penalty but can see why it wasnt that given.

And literally everyone seems to think the same apart from you 🤷🏻‍♂️

Opinions. In real time, to me it looked like he exagerrated the fall and spread on the ground like he was dead.

As I said, I think there was more than enough to knock him over without the need to be so theatrical. I'm an Ipswich fan and would much rather it had been given, but I also think the player didn’t help his cause and that the way he reacted may have weighed against getting the decision.

It's a shame, as it seems like there's always one thing or other preventing us from getting the win. They're working well enough to get off the mark before too long provided they keep the faith.

Our toughest game this month on Wednesday away at Millwall.

I would be amazed if we aren’t top of the league by the end of the month. And fully expect us to stay there till the end of the season.

Wasn’t surprised by the amount of fans on here with a pretty negative outlook on the Plymouth game because there’s been an awful lot of nonsense for a while. But come on. If you didn’t expect a comfortable win against Plymouth you’re watching the wrong sport.

LIW, Faith, Dennis, my concern is that we are not ruthless enough. That was a stroll against Plymouth, but two of our goals came from good fortune and we created very little in the rest of the game. We have dropped points in games we should have won because we miss chances, and do not close games down. Milwall will be a massive test for us. They have won their last three and are up to eighth. If you think our sideward passing and profligacy in front of goal will get us a win at the Den, then you are living in a land of clouds and cuckoos.

We may or may not win at Millwall. Will be a tough place to go. But a Leeds win is still the most likely result of the three.

We also won’t win all our games and we don’t need to.

I do think our ‘sideways passing and profligacy in front of goal’ whether imaginary or not, will get us promoted though.

And I cannot understand anyone that hasn’t seen the football from us an everyone else in this league and doesn’t expect us to go up.

WTF

Only two games we have dropped points from all season, when being ahead.

First game, when we actually behind at half time, and sunderland, where a last minute freak goal against the leaders meant a draw.

You also moan about us scoring 3 goals against plymouth but creating nothing else, then go on to say profligacy infront of goal will cost us 🤷🏻‍♂️

Were second in the league, shouldnt have lossed a game, highest GD in the league, by far the hardest fixture list to date. Players to come back from injuries

Am I watching a different sport or what 🤷🏻‍♂️

We are now 60 games unbeaten after scoring first in the Championship. Won 54 drawn 6.

We haven't lost a Championship game after taking the lead since the effing Derby play off semi final second leg.

To say we don't close games out doesn't really make sense does it?

wow, great stat that... that true?, seems about 20 odd years ago since that play off semi

Wrong wording I guess as far as not closing out games but I get what he's saying.
Miss a lot of chances and if we got some of those when we're up a goal our hearts would be a little healthier.
I really don't expect us to lose the rest of the season but we may due to injuries or a goaltender having a worldly.

In last four games, 3 times the opposition havent had a shot on target.

Defence is absolutely rock solid.

Will walk promotion

It’s just 24 shots all season, that’s less than 2 shots a game. We’ve had a brilliant defence this season.

It’s a shame that we’ve actually conceded as many as 8 goals, it’s completely undeserved

I should have said, 'not killing teams off', instead of 'Closing teams down'. Like you and Dennis, I believe we have the best team in the division, but I believed this last season. We then dropped points against teams that defended deep and caught us on the break.
And we are seeing similar patterns to last season, where we have 65% possession or more, get 17 - 20 shots, but only put one or two away.
Milwall is a big test for us because we know how they are going to play, and they did it successfully against Burnley. They have conceded 12 goals and lost just once at home. A win at the Den would do a lot to ease my doubts, but we are certainly no shoe-ins for promotion, even if we have the best players in the division.
