Really hope we can do a deal for Valle, nights like last night will do no harm in getting him interested to come on a permanent deal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No chance - Barca supposedly already wanting him back early to cover injury crisis.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why would you tell me this 😭

Btw-that comment was aimed at Barca. I’m not just randomly annoyed about women’s bits…

Weird how it let me type f8nnies last time, but bans it now.

America kind of ruining the party vibes a wee bit here.

It's gonna be a very different Presidency to his last one.

He has the Senate, the courts, and he's surrounded by sycophants now.. on a world that looks very different to the one he walked into 8 years ago.

Next 4 years aren't gonna be quiet!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed. It’s quite extraordinary that a country could actually vote THAT in for a second time, after all he’s done/said for pretty much a decade in politics … and voted in a much worse version of him than first time around. Harris wasn’t a great candidate, and Biden fecked it by not doing the decent thing and saying he wasn’t running again 2 years ago … but I genuinely can’t understand how a single person could vote for that orange gimp.

On the more enjoyable part of last night, the footie, it certainly wasn’t a dull watch! Overall we played some excellent stuff, after a dodgy spell in the middle of the first half when it looked like poor ball retention was going to result in the same old, same old. We really grew into the game after that though. Rode our luck a wee but at times, but also could’ve scored 5 or 6 .. against a team who’d been flying domestically (till they lost 2-1 away to Dortmund at the weekend anyway). Still plenty work to do to make the knockouts, but I didn’t dream we’d be in this position at this stage.

Couple of snippets from today’s Beeb footie gossip:

“Barcelona are working on cancelling Alex Valle's loan with Celtic in January, although that would mean paying compensation, as they think the 19-year-old has impressed enough with the Scottish champions to suggest he could provide a solution to their troubles at left-back. (El Nacional)”

… Shame, if true.

“Reports in South America have indicated Alexandro Bernabei, who has helped Internacional to fifth place in the Brazilian top flight on loan from Celtic, could be in line for a first call-up by Argentina amid suggestions that the Scottish champions were asking for a fee of £8m to make the move permanent in January (Daily Record)”

… Seriously?

Because the majority of Americans got wealthier under him last time round and he's promising more tax cuts.

The American election is always won and lost on the economy. The Democrats make this mistake time and again.. Biden didn't last time round, his campaign was run on the economy and how he was going to stabilise it.

The first thing that came out of Trumps mouth on the campaign trail was the economy. It was front and centre of everything he said. Harris kept schtum.. in fact I couldn't tell you a single policy she ran an other than "Not Trump". She was just touring about and hanging out with celebrities 😂

Only had audio last night. Just finished watching. Superb performance.

As for the USA, basketcase. You get what you vote for and I don't think most know what's about to hit them

Heard someone one the radio refer to it all as wrestling. Trump is a character and all of his shtick is just kayfabe.. he's the idea of the all-American that many over there hold in their head.

Aye there's gonna be a bullish feeling over the next few months in American markets given there will be confidence in the new regime now that it dominates every aspect of the political and judicial systems.

Who are we to judge Americans for their voting?

We are a country that voted against independence and got Boris Johnston

And Reform got more than half the votes that the tories got. Anyone thinking that a grifter similar to Trump can't work their way to power here is deluded.

Boris has already done it. Unless you don't think he's a grifter. Son of an ex KGB Colonel is sitting in your house of lords thanks to BJ.

Issue with Harris and her party is there was no policy. It was just “not be Trump”.

He’s a dangerous loose and unpredictable maniac; but he leads on rhetoric and genuinely wants anything to make America as wealthy and as powerful as possible. And he listens to his core support.

We on the other hand voted in anyone but the Conservatives and they didn’t even have to have a policy. Anyone of an age or over knew they’d lie, cave into unions, grow the useless public sector, tax and spend.

Have we any room to criticise those who want rid of wokery, be able to succeed and not be penalised for it, and stop pandering to the self appointed “intellects”?

Trump actually lost the Republicans 3m votes

However it appears that apathy towards the Democrats cost them 15m votes

Trump won a race that did not interest the voters

It will be a repeat of his previous tenure. Democracy is not over but perhaps politics as it has been needs to change
