Summer 2025 target you'd like to think. Might have to qualify for the CL to make it happen though.

Why would he do that? We are a shambles and win more trophies than you frauds do. If he comes to England it will to join his current coach.

posted 10 hours, 51 minutes ago

Op relax! There is ZERO guarantee he will do well at United. Remember he did sweet jolly at Brighton and with the curse in full force at United anything over 50m is a risk United can’t take.

posted 10 hours, 50 minutes ago

2 pens. Don’t think we can really read much into this or the result

posted 10 hours, 50 minutes ago

He will have Hojlund purring when the team set up around is correct anyway. I have faith.

Especially as truth be told, City should have been out of sight by half time. Second half was how I expected the whole game to go as it's Amorims last home game.

Because he'll want to play in the Champions league and play for a team challenging for the title. He was also linked with us last Summer. I don't know why Man U fans are excited about your new manager he'll need a miracle to do anything with your squad.

He was a lot younger at Brighton and has gone on and honed his craft, and if he joins he’ll be joining the manager who made him who he is. It’s a no brainer especially as we lack goals more than any top team in Europe

He'll have better players available to him than he does at sporting. Time will tell though as it's a much harder league and he needs to get the players playing again

Arteta has stabled your club nicely but he's not a winner. You'd have been wise to get Amorim in before we did.

With all due respect you don’t know that. You don’t know what players we’ll sell at the end of the season or you don’t know what kind of payment deal we could arrange with Sporting. There’s reports he has a lower release clause at the end of the season for much less than €100 million.

Plus he’s very much interested in playing for Amorim. This was from his agent…

The Swedish international’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has previously insisted he took his client to Sporting purely because of Amorim, despite interest from the Premier League.

"Everyone was waiting for Viktor to sign with a Premier League club," he told Portuguese publication Record. "I brought Viktor to Sporting for just one reason, and this is also something I said to Mr Amorim when I saw him for the first time.

“I said it before I even said hello to him: 'I only brought my player here because of you'. Therefore, I only brought Gyokeres to Sporting because of Ruben Amorim.

"There were eight Premier League clubs who made concrete proposals to Coventry and me, which guaranteed more money, more commissions and a higher transfer value than Sporting. I said no to everyone and told Viktor that Sporting was our next destination.”

We’ve just reported a net loss of £113m in the year to 30 June, after £30m losses the previous year. People close to the club have said that we’re flying by the seat of our pants, and there were questions about the cost of sacking ETH and buying Amorim’s contract out.

We aren’t getting CL football next season, we’re short on high value saleable assets, and Amorim is going to need to do a huge rebuilding job, which will begin with filling bona fide gaps in the first team, not least RWB, LWB, likely an additional CB and a quite possibly right inside forward.

If we sign Gyokeres, I’ll eat my entire hat collection. It’s spectacularly unlikely.

Arteta has created a top team at Arsenal that the players would die for and United would kill for. Hes twice the manager that Ten Hag was.

To start with, unless PSR is torn up this season or we manage somehow to offload Rashford, Garnacho, Zirkzee and one or two others for big money, it’d be a really facking stupid thing to do.

Thankfully, Amorim isn’t a star player type coach; he’s a squad builder. He won’t go badgering the transfer team for extortionate shiny toys. He’ll be encouraging them to look for young, promising players which suit his system and he can develop.

I’m interested in who we’ll be looking at from the academy to bring through in the next couple of years as well. Very promising bunch.

The 18s beat Leeds 8-0 away from home at the weekend. They’ve 36 goals in their last six games. Even by academy standards that’s ridiculous.
