Iv always felt Potter would be a good fit for us. I know people will point as his lack of success and his time at Chelsea etc but I just think he would be a good fit for us. Can work with players and seems a good tactician. I feel we would have a direction under him. I wanted him years ago and his time at Chelsea hasn't changed my mind.

Potter feels like another Chelsea cast off to me, that’s all, and we’ve had a few of them which didn’t work out.

Gravy guts is on a one way track to the sack.

Good managerial options are in short supply across Europe so it's a tricky one.

I suspect you'll go for Brendan Rodgers.

Personally I haven't got a clue who any new manager would be. But I would be astonished if Ange lasted beyond Xmas with the fixtures on the horizon. Could be looking at 13th/14th by the New Year, maybe even lower. To many weak players in the squad.

I reckon Spurs will get Thomas Frank to replace Ange.

So. I think we need to get one of them 2, to answer the OP question and to keep the fan base happy.

It really doesn’t matter whom the manager is.

The board and chairman are the issue.

I think it will be Potter and I think he'll be at Spurs by the new year.

He's cheap, out of work, doesn't need huge budget, good coach who improves players & has a decent style of play. tactical flexibility.

I don't regard him as a Chelsea cast-off (wasn't there long enough and they were a mess)

I like Ange and will be sorry to see him go (when it happens) but he's clearly out of his depth. His tactical stubbornness is just a joke.. He's not Pep, He's an Aussie for whom Scotland was the highest level he's managed.

Spurs need a coach who can improve young players and those regarded as not quite being at the elite level (Thats who we buy)

I fear for Ange.... 1 point from Palace, Ipswich & Leicester. 3 away wins in 2024 & a shocker of a season last year from Nov onwards simply isn't good enough. For me, he doesn't have enough goodwill in the bank or enough of winning track record in the PL to keep his job.

I have no interest what he did in Scotland or Japan, as is being proved now, it counts for nothing. He either needs to prove he has a plan B or he should be fired

As some on here will know, I'd been banging on about Amororim for months, but all he has ever had is success. He is going to get a shock here, it will be new to him.

I like Ange, but no chance he survives past New Year. Could be looking at close to a dozen Prem losses before Xmas.

Our upcoming fixtures aint great, especially when you consider our easy start & the fact we rarely win away and Ange doesn't appear to like draws.... I fear its gonna be a tough couple of months ahead of us.

Might be wrong but at this point & after 18 months I don't suddenly think we are gonna start defending properly and being happy to settle or a point on the road (like we could, should have done @ Newcastle)... who knows... but like others have said, in the long term, is Potter gonna do any better than any who have gone before...... I doubt it... Feels like we are run as a mid table club and what do ya know..... We are bang on target.

Before anyone asks what that means..... Resigning Timo and Odobert instead of going after Eze or Neto and praying these guys come good.... says it all

I personally don't think that Levy will sack Ange before Christmas, but I could be wrong.

It's quite likely that we will win our quarter final EFL game at home to United and then we'll be in a two legged semi. Even if we're out of the running for top 4 by then (which I don't think will be the case), I think he'll be given the chance to win a trophy for us.

This is all conjecture of course, but I wonder what our fans view of Ange would be if he did win a trophy but finished say 8th in the PL

If it was between Potter and Carrick, I think I would prefer Carrick.

He has at least won plenty as a player at Man Utd. None of them players have done anything special in coaching but I just have a feeling there is something different with him.

He has done his stint at a lower level. A former Spurs player who will at least know all about Levy and perhaps the tricks to work in spite of Levy.
