I don’t rate meslier, never have, His positioning is erratic, his save stats are consistently poor over a long enough period for it to mean something. He parries/punches crosses when he could catch and he parries shots back into the danger area too often. But that was unlucky. Keepers react to the initial shot and it’s hard to adjust your weight for a deflection .

I suppose he was unlucky against Sunderland too, Milky?

No… he was rubbish then, as he too often is. Call what I see

I’ve got to weigh in on the Meslier debate here. Personally, I’ve loved having him in goal for us over the last few seasons. Better than any other options we’ve had. I think most of the time our defence is at fault for the goals we concede (nobody mentioning that Pascal f-up and lost the ball before their second). Meslier would’ve got to the second without the deflection - but maybe could have moved quicker. Bottom line is that anyone who thinks Darlow is the answer needs to give their everything a shake. So, for now, until we get a proper replacement, get behind Meslier, remember that he’s the last point of a really shaky and easy to penetrate defence, and that we have the best team in this league and should be walking it with a decent manager in charge. There’s bigger issues than Meslier here. Still no striker. Still no No:10. Still same old subs at same old time. Still Farke’s pi- 33 poor body language. Still same predictable build up play with little end result.

I don’t know if it’s Farke or if is the players, but we are looking more and more championshippy as the game goes on.

We’ve got a team full of championship standard players - It’s to be expected. If we go up we need a massive shake up to have any chance of surviving. Be interested to know which players people would think have a real chance of being Premier standard from current lot.
