Also showing Pep isn't the GOAT. Fergie won titles with Cleverley, O'Shea and Phil Neville filling in the midfield.

He never lost 5 on the bounce either. 😂

Pep is arguably the best manager ever with top players at his disposal but he couldn’t have done what SAF did.

Fergie with a Sheikh could have been even better tbf.

Pep wouldn't take Aberdeen to two league titles and beating Real Madrid in a UEFA Cup final.

Hard to compare when they worked very differently. Pep is far more of a coach who doesn’t have power over transfers. Ferguson is a more all round manager with incredible man management. Pep has had a far bigger impact on the tactical side of the game though.

Even with Rodri they were struggling in many games but sneaking lucky wins.

He probably has but Fergie was never interested in creating a new style of doing things. He just wanted to master the existing method and he did.

Pep hasn't won the PL with 6/7 academy lads playing most games either.

Fergie lost titles when Keane was injured and Cantona was banned

Not sure we could have improved the 07-09 side greatly even with a sheikh.

But he won the treble for Barca using about 10 players from La Masia.

If Haaland was taking his chances, it would cover a lot of cities issues.

They do look a mess at the back though.

Busby Haaland probably not score for a year and still have a better conversion rate than Man Utd.😂

Haaland’s being humble.

True. We are talking PL here though. La Liga doesn't have the wide range of clubs that can win the league hence why Madrid and Barca have about 70 between them.

I still think that Barca team is the best of all time tbf.

Even though Haaland was wasteful today, he could probably not score a goal this season and be wasteful as today in every game and his conversion rate would be still be a lot better at Man City than Man Utd since ten hag was appointed.😂

There is no doubt Pep is one of the GOAT’s.

Mancini and Pellegrini had the same resources and didn’t get close to Pep’s level of domination.

Think we were something stupid like 2/3pts from
winning 7 on the bounce. 😂

Rodri really is their entire team. Its quite remarkable seeing the impact without him.

Spain didn’t miss him too much when they outplayed England. But he’s pivotal for city

“La Liga doesn't have the wide range of clubs that can win the league”

There have been 6 PL winners during its existence (2 of which have yo-yoed between the PL and league 1, over the same time there have been 5 La Liga winners, hardly different.

Yeah but prem-facery innit

It’s not just Rodri, we were fine for a few games after he got injured. It’s other areas of the pitch too.

Fair.

Real Madrid have won almost as many as United and Liverpool combined though since the Inception of the Spanish top flight.

They are the most successful club ever though, a level way above anything the PL has had to offer, unfortunately. Probably should be excluded from normal comparisons.
