Have to also blame chairman who has shown a similar out of his depth scenario and seems to have lost fans.
Not sure where we go from here,but think Moyse would be a possible.
Have to add that after sixty years of support I have never felt as apathetic about our club,the loss of our great chairman has had a far longer term detrimental affect than any of us could have imagined.
The current state of our great club has become quite simply embarrassing.

It's a strange decision with us not in the relegation zone and having only lost 2-1 to Chelsea, but maybe they've learnt from hanging on too long to Brendan.

Whoever comes in will have to deal with the poor recruitment and injuries.

Also with 'Mr Teflon' our untouchable DoF.

Hopefully they have someone in mind, we can't afford for this to drag. Corberan, Potter, Moyes perhaps?

Probably the worst, weirdest managerial hire we have made since Martin Allen. Totally out of his depth at this level and hired on the basis of a flukey promotion and narrow survival when the four teams below Forest were basket cases.

The next manager now has a hell of job on his hands thanks to the utter incompetence of Top and Rudkin. The recruitment has been so poor, he now has very little options until the January window from a defensive perspective - and that’s the priority we need to address

I would now go for Moyes because of a combination of experience and ability to drilll a defence properly. I think it’s arguably too late for Potter now to be able to get a tune out of this lot. He needs a decent back 4 or 5 to implement his philosophy

Corberan wouldn’t be a bad shout but hasn’t got the experience at this level. It’s who I’ve wanted for a long time.

We all know it’s going to end up being Ole or some other stupid left field appointment.

Top ,had to take the blame for this,far to interested in his racehorses than his beloved father's club.
If he had any responsibility then the incompetents involved in his appointment would also be on their way.

As far as I’m concerned, this has been the best time to fire the manager. It’s ahead of a period where City might pick up ‘some’ points in a few matches throughout December (but likely suffer some heavy defeats in others), and give the lads a fighting chance of staying up.


I hope they think this new appointment through instead of rushing anyone in to try and steady the ship.

So according to those in the know, it wasn't a kneejerk reaction and the club had been monitoring performances for a while. Which we means we waited until after the final international break to make a decision that everyone has known was inevitable for weeks, if not months.

The guy is the worst chairman in the.PL. Utterly incompetent to the point of dangerous.

If he doesn’t have another manager lined up immediately then the fans need to let him know exactly what they think of him at the next home game

Okay, so let’s assume there was a likelihood that Steve Cooper was going to be dismissed either ahead of or during the international break. You and I knew well yesterday was going to end up with City coming out of the match without a precious point on the board regardless of who was in charge-Steve Cooper or the makeshift team. Was this ‘last chance saloon’ for the boss and how would he stand today had we, miraculously, come out of it with a draw or even a win?

I think Wayne might be persuaded to move up from the Championship. Frank is also available isn't he? What about the chap who's doing rather well at Celtic?

That is if we're looking for another pick likely to end in disaster.

I don’t think appointing Nistelrooy would be a good appointment, yes he got 3 wins in 4 games, but two were against a poor club ( us ) in which we played our second eleven in one of the games.
I might back Moyes to organise us better, but I’ve something telling me he’s past it.
So although we’ve failed with a bid to nail Potter twice, I think he’s the best bet for the future, if he can transform us quickly enough to avoid relegation.
