Just had a shocking thought.
Anyone but Southgate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't worry, he sees himself as a top 6 manager, bizarrely!
I see our Gary has had a brilliant call for Lee Carsley to be our new manager. I suspect that would be an even worse appointment than Southgate.
Will we have our next incumbent in place for Brentford? Even if that means just looking down from the stands?

You need moyes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe so, but our management might be deluded enough to go for a progressive appointment rather than playing safety first, which is what we need this season.
Yeah you just need to stay in the division and then build
Moyes would stand a better chance than any of keeping you up
Someone like potter would do well long term but would probably mean a rebuild in the championship for a year
If we get Potter with this defence then I still were going down unless we make a couple of stunning defensive signings in the summer. The guy is a very good manager but the fack is he supposed to do with the likes of Wout Faes and James Justin?
I read a stat where he’d managed 67 premier league games and only won at 4 grounds. Damning.

Not sure I'd wait until the summer!
At least doing the sacking thing relatively early means they can get someone in place in good time to assess the squad and see where we need to invest. Assuming of course we have any money to spend, which is decidedly not a given.
Sorry Nuneaton I meant January for the signings!
Leicester deserve everything they get after the appalling way they treated Ranieri.
Hope they get Lampard and fack off back to the Championship.

😂😂😂 No he hadn’t. You don’t judge current performance solely on past performances it’s a factor, but if you see a trend that’s getting worse and worse - any club will eventually act. That decision meant we avoided relegation and started to rebuild the club eventually culminating in 2 top 5 finishes and an FA cup
Never would have happened if we’d have gone down with Ranieri

Agreed. I actually think the title win owes much to the final 9 matches of the great escape season, where carried on from where they left off. Credit to Ranieri for not changing what was working. However, he altered things the following season, which is what caused his demise. (In my very humble opinion that is!)
Sure RVN is a major gamble at this stage of the season right guys? Wouldn’t you want PL experience at least??!! Not a guy cutting his teeth

Please no, a massive gamble. If he joins us let him be the great player who bucks the usual trend and becomes a great manager!
