Remember when ETH came in and immediately we were outrun (was it by Brentford?) by 13km. So he made the players run the distance in training to show them exactly how far 13km is?
Well guess what happened yesterday? Some of these players need executing.

kinsang I rank ten hag the best manager we had since SAF by a long way. He was basically managing worse than non-league players at a title level. People will look at XG for and against but a lot of that was corruption against ten hag. I never seen a manager as good as ten hag. He even made De Gea keep the most clean sheets.😂 I think it is on record the fewest saves per clean sheet for a golden glove winner.

Honestly, this feels like old ground. Doesn't matter how good or bad we thought ETH was, he's not here anymore. I know you love your stats - well I use my eyes just as much, and from what I saw under ETH's reign, the players weren't playing well and long-term there wasn't going to be success. The cup trophies were nice, but the overall play was poor. But that's all old news.
Regarding Amorim, people have to recognise this was his first game, he is still getting use to the players etc. It's easy to say he will get rid of this or that in the summer, but that won't be easy with all of them, and in the meantime he will be working out how to get the best out of them.
I am looking for a 2 steps forward 1 step back type progress, as he learns about the players and them about him. I am sure he will realise fairly quickly who has the 'football intelligence' to fit in with his style, and who he definitely needs to get rid of, but there will also be a small number who fall in-between and those are the ones that will require the most work from him.
So we will see players who will look improved under him and those who don't fit. it's east to say it will be this or that player, but there are bound to be a few surprises on both sides. But 1 game isn't the time to make that judgment, and fans need to show patience during this process.
