They are a good side, but if we keep Doak from getting the ball we should be too strong for them.

I think this will be tight but I get a December 1989 1 nil home victory against Newcastle vibe for this and another player who's surname begins with the same initial as that day's match winner 35 years ago...Bogle to bury the Boro...Leeds 1 Boro 0.

Just realised that Bamford to bury the Boro could be a possibility too but I'll stick with Bogle, but you never know, stranger things have happened!!!

Afternoon all🌞.

So, I’m sticking with my earlier prediction of a 0-0 stalemate between two good sides that will cancel each other out.

Sneaky feeling we'll slip up tonight. Tougher test than what Derby gave us. 1-1

I think it will be a draw. 1-1 or 2-2. Though, of course, the advantage of a home game should fall in Leeds' favour.
Hope to be able to watch some it. As I am at work.

Not mega confident of a win in this one like I usually am. We are not guaranteed to control the majority of the game like we usually are.

We struggled against Swansea who are another side capable of keeping possession. Our press in the game caused them problems and led to chances for us but also left our defence wildly exposed at times. We need to be able to press more effectively in these types of games.

It’s a game we should win when you look at the squads available but I worry that this is the type of game where Farke’s shortcomings are highlighted.

That being said we picked up 6 points against Leicester last season who kept the ball as well as anybody. But then we couldn’t lay a glove on Southampton over 3 games.

Could be a classic. Hopefully it’s not though, we keep a clean sheet and win comfortably.

I think with the fixtures schedule it’s unfair to expect consistency of performance, just too many games in too short of time…I think Farke is doing a good job…we are not a super team with super resources.
So I’m going for a 2 - 2 draw and back to the theme and ratio of win, draw and lose.

Still can't work out what people mean when saying things like this, 2nd in what some say is the toughest league in the world to get out of, lots of games that some didn't back us but won, and a bunch of players that have looking at our position shown they can match any, and no reasons to push anything in Farke's direction!..

If we were mid table and people were saying things like this, than ok, but going into tonight, there is no reason why we cant win!..

And no, I'm not saying we will, I'm saying Boro will be looking at us knowing what we can do, and'll be coming to town to try and stop us, we just have to do what we're doing, and play our game the way we know we can!..

Good afternoon all
Having to work late and will miss the 1st half.

Make sure you all behave yourselves or you will be punished by being forced to watch a rerun of last years play off final.
Be warned

Win/draw/lose would only net us a 2pt per game average and I wouldn't bank on that being enough. With our squad we should be doing better. I do agree, though, that tonight's match could be one of our toughest.

I'm clearly crap at maths – win/draw/lose would get us well below a two-point average wouldn't it. Anyway, we should be aiming to lose no more than four games from the rest of the season.

My opinion is we will lose 6 or even 7 games this season, if we don’t draw many more than we already have, winning enough should get us promoted.
I don’t know how many points will be enough but no one knows it’s all guesswork….it’s not even Xmas yet and impossible to predict outcomes, but we still try!

I should point out that when I write ‘win, draw, lose’ it’s a theme and ratio of the class of club we are…not literally win, draw or lose over 3 games in a row.
Most clubs are limited with financial resources, just like Leeds, not backed by billions from Middle East oil revenue or US corporate investment….most clubs generally fall back into the ‘win draw lose’ over seasons.
Good examples are Championship teams who get promotion but then get relegated, or finish well down the league….Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester after promotion know have a real fight to stay up.

not feeling overly confident tonight, just think boro could catch us out at the back, hope im wrong

Like the line up.

Need Joseph in games like this. We’ll help us retain the ball better and make it more difficult for them to build up from the back

We have to accept that Latte Lath will score against us. With Azaz, and Doak alongside him, they will be a handful up front. Their mid-block was effective against us earlier in the season, but we are a better side at the moment and I expect us to cause problems, especially with our pace.
It will be a very tight game and it may well come down to which goalkeeper is better. Sorry to say, Mes will be tested tonight and I think he will be exposed. 3-1 to Boro.

Evening Chaps and Chapesses - tough test tonight but quietly confident.

Latte Lath … is that the new Christmas special at Costa? … the one with extra marshmallows?

Dijksteel reaped havoc against us last time we played them, same side as Doak. Danger side for sure
