1 win in ten.

3 titles on the trot, there was bound to be a drop off and it's not hard to see that their lack of good transfer business has let their squad stagnate, and some of the kids aint as good as they think when they're having to step up to be the difference-makers.

Walker, Silva, KDB, Gundogan, Stones, Kovacic....they're all 30+ and look a bit spent in, with ant surprising after the intensity of football they have had over the last 5 years or so.

Not quite sure why they have dropped the ball in the transfer market but the core of that team have aged and they havent really succession planned.

Likely that they have limited spending pending the 115 hearing, and if cleared will be positioned to go large next summer and rebuild

I wonder if there's any relationship with Begiristain stepping down at the end of this season - whether his leaving had anything to do with not being provided the backing he sought, or whether perhaps he'd informed the club long before it became public and there was an agreement to leave a kitty for his successor to rebuild the side in his own image.

As for the drop off, it's true of course that nobody can keep on winning indefinitely, but I don't recall anyone predicting anything resembling the kind of implosion they seem to be experiencing right now.

Pep wouldn't have coped without Messi at Barca, now he's not coping without Rodri at City
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah that barca side- the greatest club side ever- wouldn’t have done anything without messi. Iniesta, busquets, xavi were rubbish, right? 🙄
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't forget how rubbish Eto'o and Henry were as well as Alves and Puyol.

They were all held back by a certain Yaya Toure

It will be a shame if City still manage to finish above United in this disastrous season.
One win in 10 and yet United are still way below City despite spending billions.

Up until the league cup game against Spurs away, City won/drew all their games without Rodri.
The current situation is nothing to do with Rodri.

The overall squad needs a revamp and it will be done.
Next season, I expect United fans to return to the age old playbook of calling Pep a chequebook manager.

This is because the old players who have delivered many trophies will be replaced.
