I wouldn't back this United team to beat Lincoln City on Sunday. We'd find a way to lose that.
It's a very strange situation where both Utd and City go into a derby in total disarray. Can't have happened once since the 80's. đ

They were all out boozing I think.
Some good it did for us though...... trophy obviously great and the bragging rights too but it also meant ETH got a reprieve he didn't deserve which has really left us in the mire this season. That decision going to cost us 60/70m minimum too unless we win the Europa League.

I wouldn't swap it though. The memory of beating City in a Cup Final will live on and will far outweigh the season after where we've (potentially) struggled because we kept the manager. We could well have struggled had we changed over the Summer too.

Any team can have a bad season in comparison to previous ones, it happens to all of the great sides it's how they bounce back, or don't as the case might be?
In this case it's how Coty respond, players back fit, new players coming in and a different attitude, will they do it next season? I have no idea

Generally speaking, how confident are Utd fans about the City match?
I thought Amorim got it tactically right against us, but we did you on a couple of set pieces, so I can see Utd frustrating City and then doing them on the break.

It's an interesting one as a neutral, because as far as I remember, Pep's never endured an even remotely similar run in his entire career.
It's going to be interesting to see if he's capable of sorting out the mess, or whether he even has the stomach for it.

1 win in ten.
3 titles on the trot, there was bound to be a drop off and it's not hard to see that their lack of good transfer business has let their squad stagnate, and some of the kids aint as good as they think when they're having to step up to be the difference-makers.
Walker, Silva, KDB, Gundogan, Stones, Kovacic....they're all 30+ and look a bit spent in, with ant surprising after the intensity of football they have had over the last 5 years or so.
Not quite sure why they have dropped the ball in the transfer market but the core of that team have aged and they havent really succession planned.
Likely that they have limited spending pending the 115 hearing, and if cleared will be positioned to go large next summer and rebuild

Sunday's going to be interesting. 2 teams in poor form but these games often mean liitle in regards to form.
There's been some nice signs under Amorim but we're clearly still miles away from being a proper Amorim side. The Arsenal games showed we can be fairly compact and well organised and we got undone on 2 set pieces by the best set peice team on the planet. The Forest defeat was largely down to some terrible individial errors by Onana and the defence which we saw a lot of last season but less so this.
Impossible to know what side is going to turn up for either club on Sunday but I'm going for a comfortable City win with some of their big names turning up for the game.
All I'm asking for are signs the players are trying to do what Amorim wants.
