Striketeam, so did you give Boehly a standing ovation last weekend, and if so was it before or after we beat you?

...but I don't think you saw it

BTW, regards to your comment to Sheriff, I'm personally still dubious about our ownership but you'd have to be silly to underestimate us right now. We've been steadily improving for awhile & Marseca is clearly onto something atm.

Think Maresca is doing a good job but new manager bounce can’t be disregarded
Lavia and palmer are the two …..take them out and I’m personally not jealous of anyone else in that squad
Lavia is a real gem
Defensively shat especially the goalkeeper….he is bad but the midfield is protecting things very well, even enzo looking good but no one will ever convince me he is 100 million pound player

I think it's less likely to be a new manager bounce due to the form they were showing at the end of last season. They seemed to have cracked it under Poch and so Maresca, for as good a job as he is doing, came in at a good time. Was the best form they'd shown since the new ownership.
Unfortunately for us and Ange our good form last season does look more like a new manager bounce.

Thing is we've been slowly but steadily improving for a very long time. Something changed when we beat Dortmund almost two years ago, in his last month in charge Potter was getting a heartbeat out of the corpse. Pochettino picked up the baton & over the course of last season we kept slowly improving to the point where, on-form, we were a top 4 team off the strength of the 2nd half of the season. The only point where the trend hasn't been going upwards was the pointless Lampard stint
I could see why a lot of our squad would divide opinion individually, but the concern for outsiders should be the age of it - the youngest players are all 27! The longer things keep improving the more that should worry people.
