Players that didn’t reach their potential at spurs
Adel Taarabt
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Carrick
Marcus Edwards
Lula Modric is a good shout too. Maybe Super Pav?

I’m talking about never reaching their potential not leaving spurs then hitting it.
Edwards is a good shout but still time for him to hit it.

If they never hit it how do we know they had it in the first place?

Seeing flashes of it ie like Taarabt when he broke through or Onomah who was one of the best players in his youth age group but didn’t bring it into his professional career
Ah okay. Got it. So, Spurs players that looked good at one point but never pushed on.
Bentley has to be worth a mention.
Tbf the wording was off, it implied that they reached their potential once they left us
Yea thought we had the next beckham but no
Palacios was unreal for a little bit then that stuff happened with his family and he went to shiet.
I never got excited about Palacios, though it was nice having a midfielder that could tackle and run about a bit.
Andy Reid was another one that was supposed to be top class. IIRC Dawson was just a sweetener for that deal.

True but you could say modric did reach his potential at spurs as he really couldn’t have done anymore with us.
Andy Reid swear he looked like the traditional Sunday league pub player
We’ve had loads of midfielders who just never really reached their potential or had sustained longevity due to injuries/other circumstances.
Palacios
Sandro
Dembele
Waynama
Capoue
Hudd
Potentially Ndombele but that is super early days
Sandro was so good for a bit. Bit of a nutter too
So was Wanyama, if you get a chance to watch him in the 2-0 victory vs Arsenal in that 16/17 season that is in the top 5 performances I have ever seen from a spurs player
What do we do with these DMs
I don't think Capoue or Hudd under performed for us at all. They found their level, and were pretty consistent at it.
Getting a bit bored of every twitter account showing that Ajax game
In no order best performances I have seen from spurs players:
Bale san siro
Wanyama Arsenal 2-0 (I was at that game as well)
Son in that one vs Stoke in their (I think) final PL season
Eriksen in that one game vs Swansea where he ran the midfield, created the chances and I think scored or assisted the goal in a 1-0 win
Kane vs Leicester/Hull at the end of the 16/17 season
Nah scrap the last one.
Lennon in the 9-1
Berba in the Reading 6-4 game
I see that goal Kane scored against Lesta this season earlier.
Incredible how he managed that.
That and Dele at old Trafford are unreal
