Probably the gaseous element of beer. Gasses dilate the stomach wall allowing the quicker absorption of the alcohol ππΌ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But surely that holds true to JD and cokes and the such as well then?
I love a Rum and apple never get a hangover off it either
I’ve had real bad times on jack Daniels. On holiday with an ex girlfriend we had a row during the day so I went out to watch the football on my own in the evening. Spurs got walloped by 4 I think at Villa and I was knocking back the JD and cokes. Went back up to the room, got shouted at by the girlfriend and went for a sheet. Woke up in the morning with the floor covered in vomit and sheet where I’d blacked out mid dump.
Another time I was staying at my parents because I had my brothers graduation in the morning and was off to Ibiza later in the day. Went to the pub the night before and drank a load of JD. I lost all my belongings and was locked out. My mum let me in and went to the toilet. I was so desperate to be sick and I couldn’t get in the bathroom so I kicked the door down and my poor mum was sat on the toilet. I threw up everywhere and passed out on the bathroom floor. Fair to say my old man gave me a dressing down the next day. Spent my brothers graduation in the back of the university being sick into a Sainsbury’s bag.

I could always drink loads of gin and tonic and feel alright the next day. Probably down to be well hydrated from all the tonic. Would have the miseries really badly though. People would take the pisss because I was drinking gin, everyone’s at it these days

Possibly, coke obvz gassy, just thinking about alcohol ratio to volume and surface area of gastric wall for absorption of fluid?
90% of alcohol gets absorbed in the stomach
Drinking too much of g&t makes me feel so feint the next day - but apparently that’s due to the quinine

Miss info. The amount of quinine in modern day tonic is minuscule.
You’d need several gallons of the stuff π

Exactly. Your stomach is busy processing food, alcohol gets passed into the gut, where less absorption takes place - also why you get the shîîts the following day!!
Ffs mighty did someone buy you a big book on alcohol for Christmas?

Nope
Food in the stomach gets the digestive system working, which causes peristaltic action hence empties the stomach quicker, alcohol enters the duodenum, less gets absorbed!!!
