Agreed about Ndombele. I thought we'd see a much better game from him today with the shackles off
I dont get the taking the game by the scruff of the neck stuff tbh as think there's far more to it than that with the way we are playing and multiple factors.
Although Ndombele was pretty poor, looked back to being lazy. I'd prefer lo celso deeper and him in the 'hole'.
Tanguy has had loads of great performances for us
Today he was fine in the first half and good in the second
Bring back Chrispherk off something
The pass he fizzed into the penalty area to son for our first goal was lush and nobody cared
Will defend my boy to the death
Has he had many great performances for us in a pivot with a back 4?
One that stands out in a midfield two is Sheff U where we played 5 at the back

He came alive for a period, he does that a lot
I love him as much as you and it excites me there's so much more to come and when he finds consistency uts going to be so horny
Personally I kinda hoped he'd be the new Dembele, he's not shown that. It seems like he'll be more a new Eriksen
Hes a bit of both but can't take over either role. Needed to change and adapt to a different team.
Not sure there's any dembele out there tbf and ndombele could yet turn out to be as good or better.
Eriksen we didn't replace but could have easily managed a lot better than we have without him

It took dembele best part of 4 years to be the one we remember
That too
He'd have been nothing under Jose
He's never been played in a midfield 3, which is almost certainly the system that will suit him best.

It’s the system that made us buy him from Lyon
What managers out there play a good 433?
Pretty sure Pochettino has been at PSG

It's also baffling, because it feels like it would suit Hojbjerg (as the 6) and Lo Celso (as the left-sided 8) best too.
I can't figure out why Mourinho never did it. I can excuse Pochettino, because he never had a fit Ndombele and Lo Celso at the same time. And Mason's only had one game, so he gets let off too.
Obviously Pochettino had to pick from Winks, Dier and Sissoko as his sitting midfielder too
I've decided lo Celso is also better as an 8
Hojbjerg/Skipp---------GLC/Winks
-------------Ndombele/Dele

Definitely. I've said it before, he plays like Jack Wilshere (even gets injured like him). Best breaking from deep. Not a proper 10. I know he had that goalscoring season for Betis but I don't think that's representative
