I don't think that he suits the formation he's currently playing in, where he's effectively playing as a 10 who's always receiving with his back to goal and having to drop into midfield.

If we move to a 352 where we have an extra midfielder and Kane dropping off alongside him then I think it'd be a better fit where he's exclusively being asked to stretch the defence, either by playing on the shoulder or drifting wide, and almost being solely a receiver

I don’t really know about this one though because either he’d be the Lukaku - and I don’t think his holdup play and first time pass back is the best, or he’d be the Martinez and definitely doesn’t have the vision for that role

Yeah it'd be very different for Conte to have a striker who's not dropping off and joining in with the automations so wouldn't be surprised if we see son continue to be used that way even if he isn't great at it.
