I'm reading Billy Summers Stephen King. I'm on about page 40 after 10 days.

Only reason I finished 3 so quick as was on a lazy holiday

was running on my treadmill again this morning (with the belt now tightened properly)

8km/hr felt like 13km/hr did previously

not as fit as i thought

anyway...at least i've got room for improvement

how many minutes did you run for Peks?

if you're still going 20+ minutes, that's still good going even at 8km.

yeah did 25 minutes at 8km/hr

that's nowhere near 5km though

8kmh is basically a shuffle sann

37.30 pace for 5k

Still. It's exercise, and a good effort tongo for 25minutes, even doing a shuffle

I'll try and build up to 12km/hr in the next couple of weeks

Just tried it on with some Ukrainian hottie who walked past as i was sat waiting for burger king to open. Walked with her for about 3 or 4 minutes before she gave me the heave ho.

Started telling her about my running times >

Bet you can't do it (for 25 minutes) in the next month

now humiliated myself with the one fairly fit bird in my hotel, by asking her if she wanted to play dominoes later

she was actually engaging until i started trying to mime dominoes

"hello" would have sufficed

my whatsapp/messaging/email chat is good.

my face to face chat when im relaxed and have time is generally pretty good.

my intro/small talk is a total fackin disaster.

SOME LESSONS FROM THIS TRIP

- when an english speaking person who had said hi to you earlier (when you said 'hello kittykat' to the cat) is sitting outside on the veranda as you walk past, THEN you can ask her if she wants a game of dominoes.

- If a not very english speaking person who has given you a bit of a smile is standing waiting to get the lift as you walk past, then you do NOT ask her if she wants a game of dominoes, you just say hello.

- if someone in quite revealing clothes 'buzzes' you as you're sat outside burger king, and then walks very slowly so you can catch up....DO NOT start telling her about your running times within the first 3 minutes of conversation.

tinder is terrible for blokes our age tbh
every woman on there is looking for a 25 yr old, 6ft 4, movie star looks, 6 figure salary...that including the plain janes and the munters

J...never underestimate the incredible levels of self-entitlement most women in the western world have these days

Everyone's so facing young these days Peks. I'm in a city in Turkiye Antalya, and I swear something like 50 percent of people are in their 20s.

He's right about western women being incredibly self- entitled though. I reckon most or many think that equality means they've the natural born right to the moon on a stick.

It's in there. I had it as my front shot for a while,on the basis that no-one seemed interested in my face. Now moved one of me stroking a happy looking camel 🐫 to the front (just the camels head and my hand are visible).

Current order is:

1. Smiling camel with my hand on the back of its head
2. Sxye sweaty body shot on sun lounger
3. Face smiling in some mountains in Africa
4. Another sxye body shot (not sweating)
5. Looking like worzel gummedge/liam gallagher on a sunlounger with a wide brim hat
6. Carrying 2 ice creams with a (phwoarrr) expression
7. Looking romantically up into the camera from a turquoise ocean
8. Old cv photo shirt and tie with a goofy grin
