It says CL may have been a factor but that the Mendes situation allowed them to make a move. Why would he agree a deal with us if he didn't want to join? That makes no sense.

I dunno why you're trying to find excuses for Levy facking up. Admittedly it worked out ok but this is his MO.

How did Levy fak up? Liverpool were tracking him for a few seasons as well.

There is not enough information to pin point the failure on Mendes for me. It's abit sketchy and doesn't add up.

Anyway you can say Levy did well to get Kulu on a loan to buy and Bents at a knock down price but say it quietly.

He got lucky Dias dodged us.

There's not enough either way tbf. You can't discount it, though. There's no good reason for anyone to make that up.
