I was saying the Beaton should have been called over to the monitor to at least look at it, but I'm even more happy that Collum has said that shouldn't even have happened, as this was as an easy decision to make, it was factual, and an immediate overrule of Beaton should have happened because the VAR has clear evidence of a foul in the box

Only thing left to stay is...I don't want to even begin imagining the uproar of the shoe had been on the other foot here and it had happened to Celtic and it was they who had lost the cup final

This is an extremely poor error by the referees, it has been slated by the man on charge of the referees....and that's now two league cup finals against you that we have had major decision go against us (Julien offside before VAR came in, and the pen in ET on Sunday)

We've had penalties not given against us as well this season, like against kilmarnock.

No game changing decisions though.

Ach well Beaton is notorious for his honest mistakes. Like when he refused to give Morelos 3 yellows for his offences. Like when he gave a foul against CCV when he clearly won the ball. Like when he booked Engels for a non contact challenge ……..zzzzzzz

We have VAR now though. These two clowns sole job is to ensure the onfield refs got his decision right.

This was not a decision that required any subjective assessment. It was either in the box or not. A quick glance at the stills confirm 100% by the laws of the game it was in the box.

Its absolutely unforgiveable levels of incompetence that have affected a national final.

The fact we are in an age of VAR makes this far worse IMO.

Its a completely different complaint these days when something like this occurs and you have two people with all the technology whose job it is to check decisions.

Its astounding levels of incompetence and should be the last mistake these guys are allowed to make at any significant level.

Ian maxwells shoulder shrugging 'people make mistakes' response yesterday should also see him shown the door.

If the shoe was on the other foot then this would have been a sore one to take.

Saying that the way we were playing and how the game was going I still think we would have won it.

It wasnt Beatons error. it was a VAR error. bloody schools man.

Beaton gave the foul he didnt know it was in the box, its VARs job to correct or clarify and it didnt. Cos they didnt know the rules. Its either corrupt or utter ineptitude from them. I say the latter, and to have refs involved in a massive game that dont know the rules of the game is one of the biggest embarrassments in our game.

I wasn’t even only talking about the club anyway. I meant ‘Rangers’ as a collective, more than anything. And, yes, the bonkers has been off the charts.

I know you said earlier some of your fellow fans are beginning to be a little more stoical now. But I think your pants are on fire with that one.

Strange that Mr.Collum didn't mention the failure of Mr.Beaton or VAR's failure to intervene on the yellow & red card worthy offences when Kyogo & Hatate were assaulted during the game or overturning Kyogo's yellow card for being fouled by the Rangers player.
