What’s a new manager gonna do now realistically though with 10 first team players unavailable, working with a pathetic transfer policy and mentality
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what is mind boggling to me. Asking yet another manager to be sacked at the first sign of use going through some tough times, like we did with Nuno, Conte, and Jose just shows what a ickle bunch of fans we have. Not just fickle but toxic. It took so many managers many seasons before they got it right, but some of our fans, want the manager to start winning all the games from season 2

Think it is better to get behind the manager, and understand that once he has been 3/4 years then the squad are in a position to commit to work the tactics of te new regime.

Unless, it is City, though they are now going through a tough time too!

Ange wasn't even backed in the last transfer, and getting kids in is just part of the managing changes so we have yet to complete th sqquaad overhaul.

That’s the order that people should be kicked out of our club.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
6 of the 7 are easy to shift - the seventh will be like trying to shift an unflushable tuurrd
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Especially as some still love the turrd
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Devon’s argument is always that we have improved since ENIC came in - which is true, but we were in the doldrums with Sugar. Pre Sugar we were a club that used to win a couple of trophies a decade ago - these days we just go along. So yes we have been lifted from the Sugar years and we have had a couple of title challenges - but we don’t win cups and we haven’t been able to sustain any sort of challenge to the top tier.

The CL final was a complete fluke, we all know that.

ENIC have spent money, but they are without fail always a day late and a dollar short.

These days I don’t feel like we are football team and more an entertainment venue - a cash cow for ENIC where the football is a secondary concern
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agree with that all apart from us getting to the CL final by fluke. We showed real character in some of those games which was the difference. No fluke in that, unless you can argue all teams need some luck at points. We made our own luck and took it.

Ange isoainf more games than he is winning. Bottom half and outside the EL automatic promotion spots. He is hugely underperforming even with the injuries. I'd even argue some of our injuries are down to his method.

Look at Farcenal. They have backed Farteta to the tune of £700m so far.

Just playing Devils advocate but I think you need to look at how much Spurs have spent since 2019

We’ve won one trophy in a quarter of a century

That’s all that matters on the football field

Off it, season tickets are the highest prices in Europe as are day tickets, there are less concessions for young and old fans, more day trippers going to the ground, worst atmosphere for many years

I don’t get what spurs fans are benefiting from anything levy has done right now. In fact it’s the complete opposite

how many managers we had? not spent on a manager but multpile managers we the club keeps sacking managers after they join us

The £700k is spent on one manager as opposed the amount we spent which is for 3/4 managers, divide by each and you get the right ranking in spending

is it strange to ask players to keep pressure on opponent in a football game?

Marco Silva for me, wouldn`t want any of those on that list, but ultimately you could put Jesus Christ and the 12 apostles in charge of Spurs and we would still fail while ENIC & Levy are around.

The likes of Levyshire who constantly heap praise on Levy for having us challenging for CL are delusional.

All ENIC have done is return us to a default position of a club of our size after falling so low under the reign of Sugar, we should never have sunk so low, but had a clueless own.

ENIC returning us to being European contenders was the easy job, not difficult at all, they deserve no credit for that, it`s the very least this club should be aiming at.

This club has long been ready to go to the next level and needs new owners to take it there, it won`t be happening under the clowns currently running the sporting ambitions of the club.

Everybody but a few die hard Levyista`s and shareholders can see what our problem is, the pundits know it and slowly the majority of fans are knowing it too.

Levy out.

This is what the level of ambition our chairman has and what he probably feels is acceptable.

Sorry but this is not a "winner" mentality nor someone who really wants sporting success as far as I am concerned.

This is not from me but words from Hugo Lloris, our ex captain no less.

----------

We do all have one engraved memory, though. Four days before the final, Daniel Levy called us all together to announce that, with the support of a sponsor, we would each receive a luxury aviator watch from the club. At first, we were excited to see the elegant boxes. Then we opened them and discovered that he’d had the back of each timepiece engraved with the player’s name and “Champions League Finalist 2019”. “Finalist.” Who does such a thing at a moment like this? I still haven’t got over it, and I’m not alone. If we’d won, he wouldn’t have asked for the watches back to have “Winner” engraved instead.
I have considerable respect and esteem for the man and all he has done for the club as chairman – I got to know him – but there are things he is simply not sensitive to. As magnificent as the watch is, I have never worn it. I would have preferred there to be nothing on it. With an engraving like that, Levy couldn’t have been surprised if we had been 1–0 down after a couple of minutes.

posted 4 days, 5 hours ago

Ange is only the Spurs manager because he fits all the criteria of a Levy appointment, he doesn`t demand big spending or massive changes, he had a cheap buyout and he was delighted to accept the biggest job of his career, and is clearly a "yes man".

The likes of Nagelsmann or Slot were available, but in Slot`s case Levy would not pay the release fee and in the case of Nagelsmann would not agree to wholesale changes in club structure / coaching etc.

Ange played attacking football and was cheaper, he was less likely to kick up a fuss or bring many demands.

It all falls back to Levy, he appoints managers for the wrong reasons, attempts to cut corners and has a punt rather than a clear plan.

Levy out.

We want to be looking for the next Poch, who we can hopefully fund better than he was to be able to deliver success. They have to have the right sort of temperament, be attacking, be tactically good, and ideally be on the rise in their careers, not on a downslide.

Terzic actually doesn't sound so bad and was unlucky not to win the Bundesliga. A bit untested though.

Iraola seems the closest to the path that Poch had before coming to us, taking a freshly promoted PL team and getting them high up the table in the following season. I've definitely been impressed with Bournemouth and the way they've played. Should have savaged us 4 or 5 nil.
