Whatever qualifications Bamford has, playing football is not one of them. He should go to Harvard and show them how to miss open goals over there.

Germany, its about weak links. Our weak links fcked us last season. Its why we're still in Championship. We are the 800lb gorilla in this division. Our weak spots are we don't have a second #10 to spell BA. We need to add that player. We don't have a second #9. We need another profile who can score and spell Piroe. And we
need a keeper who is as good as Cooper, Trafford, or Johansson. It's not much to ask. A club of our size, with our aspirations can absolutely add 3 players in January and bully our way up.

Or we can rinse and repeat what we did last season and risk things. We should sh 1 t on every other club
at this level. We have the resources. I hope we have the ambition. Its not sbout edging ahead. We should steam roll.

I'll add, if anyone thinks adding in January is an impossible task, just wait until summer if we do go up.
That'll need 50% turnover and adds.

What does it matter? He's not hurting the team just like meslier isn't hurting the team.

mont, it matters because we have to keep getting better.

So many fans treat these players like theyre family.
Its a business. All businesses look to improve. one
big one is using resources smartly. We have a mediocre keeper living off of Ortas claim he was ace. He's crap.
There are quite a few better in the Championship.

We have a #9 who's living off Bielsa saying he was good. Four seasons later. We have to get better now.
To secure promotion. And in the summer we'll be
shedding many more players who are sentimental faves.

I think the gulf in quality between Championship Winner and Prem also rsn is so wide now, we're going to see teams getting promoted and only retaining 5 or 6 players. Selling off the bulk of their squad in order to buy a Prem team that can tread water/survive. I don't
like it but its coming.

Been reading the crap being spouted around here and the bring down of players and manager!..

And one of the biggest let downs of the night scores!.

Yes I’ve just read some of the crap spouted. Some fans just seem to get off on slagging the players off. Sad really.

We have to get better than our 3rd choice striker to get promotion?

If a decent loan comes up for a striker I wouldn’t be against us taking up, but it’s not really a necessity in January. We have 3 strikers, none are perfect but we are unlikely to get anyone that is in the middle of the season.

Piroe will start majority of the final 22 games of this season, Joseph will be back up and Bamford will play the odd game here and there. He was absolutely fine last season when he played, didn’t he score 8 goals in 15 starts with a run that coincided with our best of season?

Not sure much more needs to be said on a player who barely plays. We know he’s not a good finisher, but he can contribute if needed between now and end of season, chances are he probably won’t be needed much with Joseph clearly being Farke’s second choice.

Maybe there are exceptions Batts but let me tell you a
true story about when I met the David Batty that played
for Leeds United before he'd really established himself
as the legend he became..

I met him after we had lost at home to Millwall near the end of the 1987/88 season which more or less finished
our season and any hopes of making the play offs under
the late great Billy plus I think Millwalls win confirmed
them as getting promoted so it was a fairly toxic
atmosphere and I waited some time after the final
whistle to avoid traffic congestion and got some fish and
chips and was enjoying those and just happened to be
still around the ground when I spotted David Batty
chatting to Norman Hunter outside the players entrance
so thought I'd ask them to sign my programme and get
on my way.

I ended up chatting to both of them about how Leeds just seem to be cursed and never thought we'd be
behind Millwall in the pecking order to get promoted and
although Norman didn't exactly disagree with my low bar
sentiments it was young Batty only a couple of years
younger than me that really spoke enthusiasticly and
made me feel Leeds was on the precipice of great things
and I came away really impressed with Batty's optimism
and love for the club and he became a player I would
never ever critisise as I just couldn't not that he had
many bad games but until that brief exchange Batty was
actually one of the players I would find fault with a lot
and tbh I didn't think he would make it and thought we
had better options but yes after that meeting he went
from an average Leeds player that I wasn't bothered
about to don't anyone ever slag Batty off again, he's ace.

Point being as they used to say in the Godfather before
they offed you it's nothing personal...it's only
business...yeah right!!! Fickle is as fickle does the world of a football supporter and even Bamford I reckon if you Met him which I think a few on here must have done and drawn a similar conclusion to the one I did about David Batty after meeting him....they're actually nice people but yes when they put on that Leeds shirt all niceties go out the window if they have a stinker...I actually think PB could be a genuine success at a club like Wrexham and I also reckon secretly you'll be rooting for him...go on admit it Batts 😂

I too met young Batty snd Speed in Leeds one Xmas.
They were shopping for loved ones. And drinking. Me and my mates were just drinking. Chatted for a while.

Loved Batty and told him so. Because he was Leeds and brilliant. Loved Speed and told him so. Because he,
like me, was Weldh, and Leeds. But also because he was fabulous.

Bamford aint Batty or Speed. He's a drain on resources.
