The OT crowd were shameful. Horrendous manager tactics and he scapegoats the striker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wasn’t playing as a striker though, which was one of the (many) problems. Playing behind the striker, Kirkzee looked an even bigger donkey than usual. Newcastle were passing through the midfield like they were playing a bunch of red and white traffic cones.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which they were. Our midfield is traffic cones
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Might as well just embrace it and play Sékou Koné.

I was at the game.
Been going to OT for over 30 years - never seen the crowd do that to a player.
There was a couple of geordie fans behind me who snuck in the United end, and they were appalled by our fans.
I was ashamed of the fans who jeered I have to say - completely out of order and would say it was more day trippers than season ticket holders.

Booing ones own players off is pointless.
Certainly not going to help that player improve. Zirkzee stands out on the pitch because his hair is easy to spot. Every bad touch is amplified. Easy to spot when he's had a good game too. Unfortunately for utd they're less frequent.
