Kebab, 17 players go up for you. Six new needed (23).
That's close to where I am on this.
Unless we need a larger squad closer to 26-30.

Man U threads are in meltdown on ja.
Some of them are starting to think it might
be a possibility. It won't. But the stress it's
causing is hilarious. They'll buy their way
out of this situation.

They've bought their way INTO this situation.
It's definitely a possibility. That fortunate win in the Manchester derby bought them a little time, but they're in big trouble. We know all too well the danger of thinking you're too good to go down.

They currently have that dread of going to Anfield knowing they will be getting a true hiding…that really is a horrible feeling to have as we went through it many times in the PL - that is the shocking thing with the disparity in that division now…
I think that might be some of the PTSD involved in the very hesitant enthusiasm associated with a lot of fans wanting back there.

I'd like to be as good as Brighton.
Is that too much to ask?

Brighton…..mmmm…..Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth blah blah blah….all seemingly well run clubs that play decent football and are now established there…..
But Leeds United has something none of them do. And we know they never will. I want to be Leeds United.

Oh, I think this is just getting warmed up, Batty. Amorim said today that Ineos are not spending in January. A lot of very expensive chickens are coming home to roost, and with a couple of tasty fixtures against Liverpool and Arsenal coming up, they could be circling the drain by the end of this month. And I don’t think they have any leaders to pull them out of it if that happens. One can only live in hope, though I would love to see us tear them a new one next season.

As far as Premier League quality is concerned, it is easier to name the players who I think are ready:
Struijk - Tiptoes through the tulips
Ampadu - the bast’d son of Serena Williams and David Batty.
James - the best thing to come out of Wales since the M4
Gnonto - he’s got it all in his locker, he just needs to open it more often
Aaronson - Yankee Doodle Handy

PS Honourable mentions for Tanaka, Rodon, Bogle and Ramazani. I think they would be ok with good players around them, but at the lower end of the league.

Based on your selection Jonty, we'd only need to
add six players. That's more than manageable for
a recruitment that's done as well as ours have.
