I know it's a WUM article but it wouldn't be surprising seeing it called off.

The pitch would be OK of course but the authorities are generally more cautious nowadays with crowd safety. Just a couple of accidents in the area could cause chaos and put the NHS under even more pressure.

Yeah, I think there's a chance it will be off, because the players might get there ok, but the fans etc are the ones whose safety is at risk. And as you say, resources may wish to focus on more day-to-day issues rather than have a football match to worry about also. It's not just a simple click of the fingers and everything clears.

It may be better at 4pm, but at 12pm it might be too close to call

Probably, but our weather isn't like theirs - they are more use to more consistent periods of heavy snow, we get it one or two times a year.

Don't get me wrong, we still never seem to be very well prepared, and in today's world people do over-panic a bit.

But just as the authorities aren't always well prepared, joe public then insists on going out being under-prepared resulting in using up more resources needing rescued etc - I think the people in general are more savvy in nordic countries etc, because they are use to it
