But culer said it was off?

If he sticks to his system this could be bad. That said I don’t see a thumping, maybe 2 or 3

We could help ourselves with the defensive selection and those tasked with being the wingbacks.

Onana
De Ligt Maguire Evans
Amad Mainoo Ugarte Mazraoui
Antony Bruno
Hojlund

Wouldn't mind Yoro coming in and De Ligt playing centrally instead of Maguire allowing him to move forward into midfield when needed.

And also allows Mazraoui to move back to make a back 4 when we don't have possession.

We haven't scored a single goal at Anfield since 2018 when Wayne Rooney bagged a late winner there.

😂

We went there and parked the bus last time and escaped with a draw (coulda won it with Hojlund's chance). We pretty need to do the same...

That was 2016! Lingard was our last scorer there!

Let's give the man a chance... He surely can't truly be a one trick pony...

This would be my team

Onana

Mazraoui
De Ligt
Yoro

Amad
Ugarte
Mainoo
Dalot

Garnacho
Bruno

Hojlund

Bruno to drop deep and Garnacho and Hojlund just to occupy them at the back. Stay up there and at least be an out. I don't want to see Hojlund battling for the ball in a wrestle. He'll lose that. At least make them turn. On a pitch that could be slippy (has been in the past) you never know.

Ruben Amorim vs the Dutch Moyes.

We should beat them no problem.

Ah yeah sorry you're right. Still incredibly grim record though.

Always feel like if you get to half time at Anfield without them scoring they get nervy and anxious. That's why we have managed to get quite a few 0-0's and 1-0 wins over the years.

Fully expecting them to score within the first 10 mins though and then it's curtains.

If we play a back three of Mazraoui-De ligt-Martinez, we can get something of this game. Maguire looked hesitant in his last two games. Worse, on one or two occasions, he tried to avoid his responsibility. Also, I would prefer a midfield of Ugarte and Casemiro for this game. Last time theses two played together they recovered the ball 15 times between them.

Personally I'd go 3-5-2 today with Bruno as the 2nd striker. Really wish we had a pair of legs like Fred or McT to join Ugarte and Mainoo in midfield (yes I know I said it... I'm missing the McFred glory days 🤣🤣)

Dalot is a mess on the left - both going forward, and he'll get skinned by Salah. I'd rather Mazraoui there.

I had a feeling we'd win the Cup Final against the odds. I have a strange feeling today too but it's mostly dread!

Wouldn't it be good if at 6.30pm we're actually very surprised (in a good way) about a United performance?

VVD from set pieces will murder us if we play Martinez and Mazraoui in the 3. We need some height in there sadly.

I don't think Maguire has actually been that bad either so should play.

I thought he was quite poor against Newcastle.

The result will whatever Liverpool want it to be. Amorim has come out and said our players are scared. If Liverpool take their foot off the gas it might only be 3-0.
They have a semi final in the week I think so might see the game out with a decent lead.

Be incredible to win there and shut them up for a week or so. Although a win would only take us up to 11th so it's hardly make or break for us.

I just want us to turn up and compete for every ball. If we lose then so be it. They are better than us right now so it's expected.

If we lose by 5 or more then serious questions need to be asked of these players. Teams with less quality than us haven't lost by 5 there.

Would take a sketchy 1-0 win right now tbh

We should win, but it’s United, so never one I feel hugely confident about!

A surprise win against Liverpool is worth much more than three points. It could strengthen the players’ belief in the new system and the new manager.
