I would have understood it but in all honesty he 'added' himself?
Now were he trying to break an addiction, that would be a different matter?
Of course it could be he's simply got a Watford!
Eric dont try and understand...you know it's futile on
here!
Trying to understand and being logical is your big
fault!

Eric - non capisco signore ??
If we want to win the Euro's we need to play english football. Full blooded, tough tackiling, physical. Play at a high tempo, don't let the opposition slow it back down (eg, spain). Use effective wing play, mix it up, play a passing game but then go long if needed.

Is that what you meant? or did you mean addiction?
Teh sentence does not make much sense to me? Teh keyboard you are using must be a Watford. Teh Watford makes people make teh errors regularly in teh spelling of teh words!
ah si, si, grazie, scusa colpa mia
sorry Eric, I didn't see my spelling error

well said 1-0, 2-0... good point... actually if you cast your mind back to the world cup England were out of thier depth playing the 'passing to a marked man, who passes straight back to the player who passed it first, thus creating more space etc' - hope that made sense??... it seemed as if Englnad were trying to play like Spain... but of course it didn't work...
the only problem with the hard tackling thing is that you'll prob not finish with 11 men on the field... rules being as they are,
That is the only downside, european referees are very harsh, when it comes to tackles, etc.
Watching Terry and Rio pass it around the back, makes me shudder.
if rio ferdinand is in even the provisional squad, we are doomed
Make me shudder if they were behind my back.
igor,
that's a totally different situation
What we don't need is namby pamby footballers like Rooney. Let's face it to get sent off for a petulant tap at a player because you are dimwitted isn't the type we need in a battle.
If you're going to take someone out do it like Norman would have done it, take the ball, the player and the first three rows of the main stand out!
Rooney you're a soft article!
Reaney, Charlton, Hunter, Cooper across the back would have Messi and his like into row z
Bless.
Giles would show Messi a few things too
1-0, 2-0 i don't care as long as it's a Leeds win
How to pass a ball for one?
And a damn fine t.v pundit, we have him in ireland for local channel, man he knows the game, hanson and dull as dishwater lawro could learn a thing or ten.
I think England's biggest problem is what's being posted on here.
We, as fans, are constantly comparing them to other teams.
Instead of trying to copy other teams' styles, why not just stick to what we know? It may not be pretty but if it works...
