There's also rumours that Juve have offered Dusan Vlahovic to United as part of a deal for Zirkzee.
It's constantly being reported Motta has a hard on for Joshua. And Vlahovic hasn't reached the levels at Juve as he did at Florentina.
Can't say I'm excited by either Muani or Vlahovic tbh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there no striker we are looking at that isn't a carthorse?
Rather not have another absolute unit stinking the place out, we have 2 already. We need a different dynamic e.g. Salah, Diaz, jotta, small, agile, quick, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Might be wrong, but I see that profile suiting the two players behind the striker in Amorim's system, whereas the CF needs to run the channels, have strength to hold off defenders with back to goal, etc. Seems like more physical presence is necessary.

Yep; that’s what he did at Sporting. He had Slimani, then Paulinho, then Gyokeres up top. Big, strong, powerful runners.
And in behind and out wide pacier and more agile players like Pote (who is legit tiny), Edwards, Araújo, Quenda, Trincao, Morita and Catamo.
He isn’t going to play a Jota or Diaz up top (or anywhere, tbh).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will be have to alter his ‘type’ for the PL though in any way? (Not just the striker but the types behind it?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Primeira Liga is a really physical league. You don’t have many teams stocked with physically super imposing players like you get in Germany and Italy (although there are some - my closest side, Portimonense is one of the tallest in Europe), but there’s a fair amount of battling, wrestling and heavy challenges nowadays, and plenty of running to boot.
The players obviously aren’t conditioned or looked after quite as well as PL players, and won’t have quite the athletic edge; but I don’t see any real reason why he’d have to change much beyond the quality of the players.

I'm assuming any loan deal would come with an obligation to buy, in which case I'd pass. I'd be surprised if it doesn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's that assumption based on, TRS? What is it about this hypothetical loan that makes it more like Sancho to Chelsea than, say, Sancho to Dortmund?
posted 1 day, 8 hours ago
Reading more about RKM, it seems like a major cause of the drop in productivity moving from Frankfurt to PSG is the style of football. His game is ideal for running in behind and he thrived in the transitional football of the Bundesliga. He's less effective when playing for a possession dominant team often facing a low block. Sounds like he would have suited ETH's football better than Amorim's.

I am not surprised one bit.
Playing with Rasmus is like playing with one man down. I have never seen a player bullied as much as this guy. Saliba and Gabriel bullied him, VVD bullied him. He is constantly getting bullied or falling on his backside it is a sad sight.

You've picked three of the best defenders in the game right now there as an example.
What worries me is he gets bullied by Fulham, Bournemouth and Palace defenders too. That's just proof he isn't ready for this role yet. He's got a lot of developing to do and needs to seriously bulk up and improve his hold up play if he wants to succeed here.
I'd say the wingbacks and ST position is the most pressing of all our issues, Without good players in these roles we won't ever get any consistency.

PSG rejected a straight loan offer from Monaco for him.
It seems they'd prefer a permanent move, failing that a loan with an obligation to buy at least.
I agree with your point about him not really suiting an Amorim side. I think the next attacker we bring in should ideally be a mobile 10 who can play with his back to goal, operate in tight spaces and run in behind, as well as being able to offer a goal and creative threat in equal measure.
Difficult profile to find I know, especially on a tight budget but we need to start recruiting players who can produce when space is at a minimum.
We could do with at least one player who the ball sticks to like glue and can carry it out of trouble under pressure.
