Just having a quick look at their respective stats and Haaland is on course to score more goals in his career than Ronaldo has. Whether he will have the longevity remains to be seen. Also whether he ends up playing in a sub-standard league to add 100+ goals to his record.
But at the moment, he is outscoring one of the world's greatest ever players. He will go down as one of the best no.9s ever I believe.

Both superb players. I'd argue that Son isn't a striker (and if you include him, then Salah for sure should be included, Ronaldo too). Sheringham is an honourable mention rather than a genuine contender. Had a very long career, and other strikers on the all-time scorer list with 400+ are way ahead of him in goals scored, while several surpassed him in far fewer games. A better footballer than several of the players above him on the scorers list, but a better striker?

I don't know if that's true or not but it doesn't matter, he still scores at a better rate than anyone else and if you think it's just because of the team of players he has around him at City, it doesn't explain why his goal rate is so good for Dortmund and Norway.
He doesn't just score tap ins either. Even if he did and if that's such an easy thing to do, why can't more players match it?

Haaland has superb box movement, doesn’t get talked about a lot on places like 606, which is why he is on the end of lots of chances.
It’s a bit of a litmus test about whether people know their footy tbh.

Just saying he's missed the most chances is pretty meaningless on its own though. He's had more chances than anyone else so what do you expect? His goal conversion rate is about average and his shot accuracy is actually higher than Salah's, Isak's, Palmer's etc. this season.

Oh and also to people who say he's one of the best finishers... he isn't at all.
Watch how many chances he misses for City. The reason he scores so many is because he gets chance after chance after chance after chance.
His finishing is massively overrated... most of his goals are tap ins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has nobody paid you any attention this morning.....is that it....?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea have had 3 strikers better than Haaland so I don't know why you're chirping up:
Drogba
Diego Costa
Anelka
Hasselbaink too arguably
All Haaland does is poach goals and offer absolutely zero else
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that supposed to appease me... or something else

RVP? I assume you aren't considering Salah as a striker

Sheringam should be on that list and you could have an argument about Son too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both superb players.

So why was his goal tally so impressive at Dortmund, or for his country? All players will miss chances no matter how good they are. Not just the team he plays for but his movement and pace gives him those frequent chances, maybe?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at the stats for big chances missed. Haaland is top and he was top last season too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know if that's true or not but it doesn't matter, he still scores at a better rate than anyone else and if you think it's just because of the team of players he has around him at City, it doesn't explain why his goal rate is so good for Dortmund and Norway.
He doesn't just score tap ins either. Even if he did and if that's such an easy thing to do, why can't more players match it?

A great finisher who misses the most big chances in the league? Behave.

Haaland has superb box movement, doesn’t get talked about a lot on places like 606, which is why he is on the end of lots of chances.
It’s a bit of a litmus test about whether people know their footy tbh.
He’s a truly great finisher.

Just saying he's missed the most chances is pretty meaningless on its own though. He's had more chances than anyone else so what do you expect? His goal conversion rate is about average and his shot accuracy is actually higher than Salah's, Isak's, Palmer's etc. this season.

He's up there in the best finisher discussion for sure but as an all around striker / footballer he isn't close to the best.
I don't even think he's City's best. Aguero was a far better player.

Pretty much spot on
