Players develop at different rates. If we weren't are where we are he would have been eased into the side these last few years. As it is he's playeda lot and is still raw.

I do like the fact he is a trier though but he does need to calm down a bit. Everything is a bit frantic. He does havea good habit of getting into good positions though and he's well worth persevering with IMO.

I can’t fault Garnachos effort, he’s just lost his way a little, seems to be lacking confidence and not playing on instinct, perhaps getting used to a system and where he fits.

Garnacho actually has been missing sitters all season. People trolling Antony when at least he hit the target. Garnacho probably would have hit it for a throw-in lol.

When you see the inconsistency of these talented youngsters like Garnacho it really hammered how what generational talents Rooney and Greenwood were.

Hard to say how he’ll turn out but he’s dreadful this season yet somehow has decent stats.

The Process Garnacho literally has near the worst stats in PL history this season at finishing. He basically cost ten hag his job.

Rooney......... and Greenwood?

I know times are strange for United fans.... but let's try and keep it real.

He's 20.

Less than 6 months ago he was still a teenager.

Last season he was named third on the golden boy list.

Do you expect him to be in some good form at 18 and just not drop for over 10 years? Are you lot new to football?

99.9% of players are not generational talents. The Rooney comparison is ridiculous. Ok, he's not as a good as a 20 year old Wayne Rooney. Who is? What you wanting here? Where are you buying this Rooney regen from that you seem to expect should be in the team?

He has a lot to develop. Shock. So does Kobbie. So does Amad. Just because Amad is currently playing well, people will pretend they actually support him. Soon as he hits a spell where he struggles, same will happen and the same people who were spamming "star boy" or whatever other cringe phrase people need to say these days will be happy discarding him for whoever is currently in some good form.

Crazy that once upon a time, people used to support their players. Particularly the young ones and especially the young ones who have turned up multiple times for the club and helped us win something.

He's 20 and has pretty much won a trophy with the club every year he's been here, contributing to each of them as well. Maybe he is struggling a bit. Maybe he'll take a few more years to really gain some consistency. Better players than him did.

Anyone care to break down what Henry was doing at 20? Ronaldo? Harry Kane? All better players and none had the expectation to deliver on them that Garnacho seems to.

Social media and 24/7 access to football has gutted it. People are more emotional, fickle and impatient than I've ever seen.

Fans are an absolute joke. Support your damn players, at the very least support the young ones when they are having a bad time. Otherwise what's the point? What are you here for? "You only sing when you're winning" was a common taunt when I was growing up but it's literally what football fans are these days.

You're getting a bit emotional, Toor. Perhaps social media is getting to you.

The boy Mussolini looks a prospect.

Garnacho is a player I'd prefer we kept ideally but not at any price. If they go all out for him and offer us silly money I'd be tempted to take it tbh. I don't think he's a number 10 or wing back. If we could get in 2 players who suit the system better for what we get for him it would be tempting to sell.

And especially since we have 3/4 very talented forward players coming through in the academy. Biancheri, Wheatley and Chido are all looking very exciting prospects.

If we can squeeze 50/60m out of them it might be worth it.

I would still be really shocked if we sold him. There is no need to sell him, especially right now, as our squad is not that strong anyway.

There is still loads of potential there - it may not work out in the end, but that's a decision to be made in a year or two, not now while he is still developing and we have put in a good bit of effort and time into him.

I still view Garnacho as one of our best assets - we shouldn't be selling our best assets. Only if Amorim really can't use him (which we wouldn't know for a while) and then i would want a really good fee for him, which would hopefully happen in a year or 2.

There is very much a need to sell somebody. Our financial situation is pretty dire and if we miss out on Europe all together for next season then more cuts are coming including our summer budget.

As I said in an ideal situation we wouldn't have to sell but I think he's the possible cash cow I'd be least worried about moving on really. I don't think he suits the Amorim system either.

Lets not kid ourselves....If United HAD to sell Garnacho/and/or Mainoo and HAVE to keep players like Antony and Casemiro.... it would be another kick in the nuts for United supporters. Like me, anyway.

Agree with this, the reality is no other club are relying on 3 players so young to carry their attack.

One thing about the past couple of games, Garnacho seems to be trying too hard to make things happen and snatching at things and getting it wrong. It's not unfair to say he's probably feeling an expectation on himself to do more and it's affecting his game. And when it doesn't come off the expectation is compounded.
