Burnley is in the middle of nowhere.

Bolton in the middle of hell.

Burnley is in Lancashire....and to my knowledge always has been. Blackburn proudly (and genericaly for the area) holds the great historical accolade of being an area that royalist troops could not get passed....hence the main military garrisons being in Yorkshire...a county that didn't fight them back!

These arguements do not impress my social circle in Sheffield

Apart from the obvious inner glee, I do find the above a little sad. Much as I like to poke fun at my rivals, to see 3 Lancashire (GMC etc) clubs in the bottom 3 isn't what I wish to see.

These things happen from time to time, its up to the clubs to try and pull things around.Every year there can only be one champion and three clubs get relegated.

I generaly add my heated nuts to a warm moist mixture Harry, I suggest pounding hard and thoroughly into the folds to ensure things are stiff and firm and a guaranteed well risen end product...do let me know how you go on.

ps,remember to glaze well.

This thread had about 15 comments on last time I looked! Must have been a quiet Sunday afternoon/evening. Quite right about Yorkshire Exiled, although most of the Northern bit is Duchy of Lancaster estate so (historically) belongs to us anyway Went to college in Skipton for a while, tried to educate them, didn't really go down well. Anyway all I am trying to say is, Burnley is definitely in Lancashire. Not sure any of that makes sense but I have been in work for 8 hours already and have another 9 or so to do, have had far too much coffee

I think we all know Burnley is in Lancashire. It's just a wind up method.

I know, you have to play the game though don't you

The war of the roses was actually fought over Burnley. The winner got to keep it. We should have lost.
