Strange one, this - not sure WHY Evra would make these claims unless he genuinely believes Suarez said them. But you can guarantee Sky will have had teams of lip reading specialists, body language experts and psychic readers poring all over the footage, in a desperate attempt to drum something up - the fact they haven't shown ANY footage of what's been purported makes me believe Suarez.

I personally think that if there was one iota of truth in Evra's claims then both yesterday's and today's press would have been all over it like a rash.

If Suarez is totally innocent in this furore then I think that Evra needs to be harshly punished. The 'race' card is a very easy one to abuse but also one that should be respected. If there cannot be any evidence found then in my book Evra needs to be hauled before the FA/Uefa for bringing the game into disrepute.

It however does amaze me that, because of a 'kick' on the knee and being run ragged and given a light head by Suarez and Kuyt all day, the lengths a player will go to

I agree Evra should be punished, equally as harshly as Suarez should be if the accusations turn out to be true.

Furthermore Evra should be condemed in equal measure. Playing the 'race card' is, in my opinion as bad as someone being racist themselves. It is cowardly and it also reduces the impact of a genuine claim of racist abuse.

Lets also not forget that this would not be Evras first offence in this area.

Evra tried to claim he was acting in response to racial abuse then, when in actual fact he started the conflict and the only insult delivered was the groundsman to call him an idiot after Evra pushed him.

If Evra is shown to be a liar, which is looking increasing likely, again, he should be banned for the season at least by the FA and United should consider sacking him. The first time was bad enough and can perhaps can be mistaken for confusion in the language mix-up, however with him now making this claim again he should be punished if, which is looking likely, it proves to be false.

First of all, Evra also made those claims but they look to be false, there is always the odd idiot at games saying stupid things, one time at a Bournemouth game, I sit 3 rows back from the touchline, some prat starting with the racist jibes and me and many of the fans around him gave him a right bloody earful for it.

Also I did not say that Liverpool fans are innocent, but he who is without sin may throw the first stone, and United fans are far from innocent in this matter, so that is why I was calling you hypocritical.
