Fantastic player but tends to take three months off every season with injuries....
I rate Van Persie very highly and he is currently Arsenal´s only world class player.
Would I take him at Chelsea ?
I think I´d have to say yes although he doesn´t have the best injury record.
And we have plenty of strikers. City will gobble him up and sell one of theirs or put him into Mancini's rotation policy: 'If you scored in the last game, you're out of the team.'
Yes, he's a great player and would do excellently sidled in behind Torres or as some sort of stop gap between when Drogba goes most likely next summer and when Lukaku is ready to be second choice striker which might not be next season.
Lining up ilke:
----------Ramires-------Meireles--------
----Sturridge-----RVP-------Mata-------
---------------------Torres-------------------
Is very strong indeed
Another one we should maybe look at is Sagna, who's contract ends next summer
I'd take Sagna over Bosingwa for sure
But I'd prefer Isla

Maybe we should be looking at a Van Persie + Sagna double swoop this summer
Wenger would probably demand what he got for Nasri tbh
A bit less maybe but still quite a lot for someone in the last year of their contract
Maybe worth a punt, I'm not sure
i wouldnt mind sagna either to be honest but i dunno if that would be us taking a step back
RVP would be an excellent shout, especially if Drogs doesn't commit
Yes his injury record is dodgy but here is no doubting the guy's class
Think he'll end up at City though
I dont see Van Persie's situation the same as Cesc & Nasri. I dont think he'l leave Arsenal. He knows if he does leave, He'l be stabbing all the Arsenal fans in the back with the same knife Cesc & Nasri used. He said Il show my commitment to Arsenal on the pitch before Sundays game which he then went on to do. He's also older than Cesc & Nasri and he's settled in London with his wife & kids.
I could be talking bullsh iit though but I see him staying for the rest of his career.
Looking at Drogba's performance this week - i'd say we put in a bid for him in January
The Drog has lost it
Sheriff.
The Drogba I saw got involved in several impressive moves with Mata & Sturridge on Saturday.. I dont think he's lost it at all .
Tbk's line up does look impressive when you think about it, but if we were buying van persie for that position then i could think of many other younger and possibly better players to occupy that role. He would be a no go for me however, just far too injury prone. If Arsenal offered us RVP for Drogba i would take it though, Drogs has been poor
should we try to sign RVP?
No
Chels - Man crush on Drogs
from my armchair drogs looked very absent from the game. I honestly think lukaku or dare i say it even kalou would have contributed more. we practically played without him
he even got outmuscled by jagielka
Not sure what the problem was with Drogs this week. Can't wait to get Torres back.He looked like he was finally fitting in.
TCP Me & Drogba go a long way back
